Life with Mom and Tina Ch 116

"You know Bette hates that shirt." Tina said.

"I know, but she loves it. At least one of us should be happy, since its obvious the guys aren’t." Jess said.

"What did you mean by she broke a promise?" Tina asked. Jess looked at her. She couldn’t believe they were actually talking like they did before.

"She promised no more secrets between the two of us, when I got back from New York. I thought she meant it, I did." Jess said.

"See Nay Nay in trouble." Angelica said.

"Why is that little one?" Tina asked.

    "She lie." She said.

"Yes, baby she did." Tina said.

"I don’t know what to do anymore." Jess said.

"Why did you agree to do it in the first place?" Tina asked.

"Because when I talked to her she kept talking about how it would help people and nothing else." Jess said.

"She’s right, it might help." Tina said.

"Yeah and it might not. It might things worse for me. I am tired of being hounded." Jess said.

"I know the press is bad, but if you could make someone else’s life easier wouldn’t you do whatever you could?" Tina said.

"You know I would. I am just tired." Jess said.

"I know sweetie." Tina said hugging Jess.

"I don’t know why she had to lie." Jess said.

"Because I thought you wouldn’t do it." Shannon said standing in the door way.

"You’re my sister and I would do anything to help you." Jess said.

"I know that now, but I was scared. After your reaction to the small thing I did a couple years ago I didn’t know how you react to something like this." Shannon said.

"What exactly is this?" Jess asked.

"It’s a documentary like the one before only bigger. I pitched it to a couple of networks and one bought it." Shannon said.

"Your going to have to be a little more specific than that." Jess said. Tina smiled. She had taught Jess well when came to critiquing movies and the media in general.

"I want to show a couple families and how they live. I am going to interview some researchers. I want to get the two families together and record their get together. I am going to do the narration and I was hoping to use your interview along with one other I have lined up as the core of the piece." Shannon said.

"Who is the other Family?" Jess asked.

"It’s my partners family. Kevin has two dads and one brother and a couple sisters. That’s what got us to talking." Shannon said.

"You sure have done your work." Tina said.

"Yes ma’am. So what do you think sis. Are you in? Because if you’re not then the project is a no go. That comes from the head guys." Shannon said giving Jess her best give into me face.

"I just have one question." Jess said.

    "Shoot." Shannon said.

"Which studio bought it?" Jess asked.

"Well. Mom’s did, but she had nothing to do with it. She didn’t even know about it until the paperwork ran across her desk. You don’t even want to know her reaction." Shannon said.

"I think I know what it was." Jess said.

"Well? Come on are you killing me." Shannon said.

"I’ll do it on one condition." Jess said.

    "Anything." Shannon said.

"It’s a deal breaker." Jess said.

"Okay lay it one me." Shannon said.

"You have to be in it too." Jess said. Jess knew that Shannon hated being in front of the camera. That’s why there are more pictures of the rest of the kids around the house.

    "Ummm Okay." Shannon said.

"I am not trying to be mean or anything. Its just you are talking about showing our family and our family isn’t complete without you." Jess said.
