Previously:
"I thought I might spend the weekend at home except for when we have practice of coarse." Jess said.
Bette smiled and she got misty eyed.
Later that night
Jess sat outside by the pool. Shane walked over from next door.
"What are you doing up this late?" She asked.
"I couldn’t sleep. I’m not even going to ask what you have been up to." Jess said.
"Hmmm." Shane said.
"Have seat." Jess said. Shane sat down in the lounge chair next to her.
"So what’s on your mind?" Shane asked.
"Nothing. I think I just got a case of the nerves." Jess said.
"Oh yeah. You got a big game next week, but I have never known you to be nervous." Shane said.
"It’s not about that. It’s Laurie. She has been acting different for weeks. I don’t know what has been going on with her. When I ask her she shuts me out. It’s like she pushing me away." Jess said.
"I see. Would this have anything to with Cat back in town?" Shane asked.
"No. She was acting funny before we ran into Cat." Jess said.
"What do you think is going on with her?" Shane asked.
"I don’t know. I gave up asking about it last week. Every time I bring it up she bites my head off and then storms off, and let’s just say wasn’t to thrilled with me when I told her I was staying here this weekend and not at the beach house with her." Jess said.
"You think maybe it’s because she want’s to spend more time with you." Shane said.
"Maybe. She has her head wrapped around this idea that we are going to be together forever." Jess said.
"You don’t think you are going to be with her forever." Shane said.
"Forever is a very long time." Jess said.
"This is true." Shane said.
"Don’t get me wrong. I like her a lot and I might even love her but I don’t think it is forever." Jess said.
"Well maybe you should tell her that’s how you feel." Shane said.

Forever is a long time for one so young. Jesse is a smart young ladies, Laurel might have the same feeling as Jesse. That for ever is a long time. Thanks goodness she has two loving smart Moms to help her along the way, thanks
Ah man…i’m so confused. I thought jess loved laurie and wanted to be w/her forever @ least that’s what jess said…has Cat confused her, because she sure has confused me…boy oh boy…this story gets more interesting by the minute. Great chapter!

Wow….I hope Laurie is the one 4 Jess…I understand y Jess needs time 2 herself….I like the time to herself part…I am not sure if getting into another relationship is a good idea though….she needs family time and alone time…
Jess is too young to stay w/one gf at this point in her life. She wants to experience more of life and not resent Laurie somewhere down the road.
I’m confused too. It seems like it was only 10 seconds ago that Jess told Laurie not to worry about Cat and all that crap. Maybe Jess needs to go on one of those silent retreats in Washington. lol
I am with everybody else. I am confused too. I thought Jess loved and cared for Laurie too. Did I miss something. Also, Jess has TOOOOOOO much stuff on her plate to be so young. Maybe we need to work on that aspect before we mess with her and Laurie, but if Cat (who I am still not sure who she is) is her soulmate so be it.
i don’t know if i will can read when Jess talk wiht Laurie it will be soo painful for laurie, i think that Jess is confused too and i hope she and Laurie find a way to talk and do the better for they two. glad that Jess can talk with Tina and have had a happy family time! excellent chapter!
i really hope jess and laurie stay close whether they take a break or not.
Thanks for the double post today. Jess has grown up a lot and is now facing a very difficult decision. I hope that she is able to work through her issues with Laurie and with Shannon. Tina is such a good listener along with Shane. Can’t wait for the next post.

Charmed, It was fantastic to see Jess open up to Tina once again. It is so pleasing to show this parental relationship is as strong as ever. Jess needs to sort things out with Laurie before starting anything with Cat. I believe that would be the fairest option for all concerned. Interesting times ahead. Rather strange twist in the relationship between Jess & Laurie. I’m curious what happens next.
