Previously

Bette: “She has been so angry these past few days”

Tina: “I know baby and we will sort it tomorrow. We will both sit down and speak to her”

Bette: “Yeah hopefully she will be as understanding as Jay was”

Tina: “I think you just need to explain your reasons something we should have done when you got the Job”

Bette: “I hope so”

(Tina leans up and Kisses Bette)

Bette:” I needed that baby “

Tina: “I know you did, you also need some sleep” (turning off the light)

Bette: “I love you”

Tina: “I love you too”

(Bette holds Tina in her arms and they both fall asleep)

Chapter 20

(The next morning Bette and Jay leave for school and work, Tina has just finished doing some housework and heads upstairs to wake Chloe)

Chloe’s Room

(Tina walks over and sits on the edge of Chloe’s bed and shakes her)

Tina: “Chloe time to get up”

Chloe: “Yeah ok I’m up (rubbing her eyes) Ouch ok that hurts”

Tina: “How’s your lip” (Touching Chloe’s face and looking at it gently)

Chloe: “Really sore”

Tina: “I bet it is common let’s go down stairs and we will give it a clean”

(Chloe gets up and puts on her dressing robe and slippers)

The Kitchen

(Tina is putting some antiseptic on cotton wool and Chloe is sitting on the stool)

Tina: “Ok you ready”

Chloe: (shutting her eyes) “Yeah”

(Tina gently dabs Chloe’s lip and Chloe winces with the pain)

Tina: “There we go all done, you hungry”

Chloe: “No not really”

Tina: “Ok let’s go into the living room and have a chat”

The living room

(They both sit on the sofa)

Tina: “Would you like to tell me why your attitude towards your mom is disgraceful”

Chloe: “I don’t know”

Tina: “That’s not an answer Chloe”

Chloe: “I guess I was just angry that she took the job” (Looking at the floor)

Tina: “Sweetheart your Mom didn’t do it to upset you”

Chloe: “I was out of order and the way I spoke to Mom was unforgivable but it seemed like yesterday after Lisa attacked me, Mom just immediately assumed I started it”
