    Getting to know you..

    Tina and Bettes voices mingled as they caught each other up on what was happening in their lives and the soothing harmony of their voices lulled Emily.

    Emily looked sleepily from her mother to the beautiful lady in front of her and her thumb gradually crept into her mouth. She scrunched a little further forward and leaned into Bette trying to find a soft place to rest. She closed her eyes.

    Emily was moulded so closely to Bettes body that Bette could feel her breathe; feel the light puffs of exhaled air as they hit her arm.

    Tina reached forward and gently rubbed Emilys back while Bette sat motionless; stunned that this little angel would feel so comfortable around her. Gradually she lifted her arms and moved them around Emily, enclosing her in a gentle hug.

    Emilys eyes fluttered then she drifted off to sleep.

    Is she Bette said softly

    Yep..fast asleep Tina fell into the regular routine of finishing Bettes sentences.

    Oh my god.. breathed Bette softly, a note of wonder in her voice as she looked down.

    It must be your dulcet tones Tina said They always put me to sleep..

    Bette chuckled quietly, afraid to move too much or speak too loudly in case she woke Emily.

    Tina smiled as she watched her daughter cuddled up to Bette Shes never done that before with someone she doesnt know .. she looked up into Bettes eyes she must realise how special you are..

    They spoke in quiet voices, touching lightly on a number of topics but avoiding the difficult subjects which needed to wait for a more suitable time.

    Emily slept on, the low rumble of Bettes voice providing a soothing background to her dreams.

    Gradually they became aware that Emily was starting to stir. She rubbed her eyes and looked up at her Mom. She thought these big people were funny sitting on the floor but she was quite happy that theyd come down here to play with her. Baa? she said sleepily.

    Bette looked up at Tina, unsure what Emily was asking for.

    Tina reached out a hand and rubbed Emilys arm Baas at the hotel honey.. then seeing Bettes puzzled look she explained Baas her favourite toy.

      Your story really brings a warm feeling to my heart and you are really good at writing. This meeting of Emily and Tina with Bette is so wonderful and heartwarming…I hope they will be somehow in Bette’s life..And I will be waiting to see who Baa is and how their meeting with Kit will turn out to be..;) Looking forward for your next chapter….
