Alice, Shane and Dana sat around the table at The Planet.

All she said was it was urgent we meet ..she had someone she wanted to introduce us to Alice said frustrated that no one seemed to know what was going on. Do you think its Tina?

Why would she need to introduce us to Tina? Shane asked.

But she said she was coming this weekend..who else could it be? Alice asked still searching for some clue.

Maybe its Tinas husband Dana said ..or wife..

Dana said Alice do you really think Bette would drag us down here to introduce us to Tinas partner?

Uhh..I guess not.. Dana conceded.

Maybe we should just wait, well find out soon enough Shane shrugged Everyone want coffee? Its my shout.. she moved away to order coffee and mini-muffins.

She was walking back after placing the order when she spotted Bettes car pulling up outside. Dont look now she said but Bettes arrived..I guess were about to find out the big secret.

Alice popped up from the table but all she could see was Bettes frame filling the doorway. Damn Bette..why couldnt she be smaller.. Alice muttered.

Bette walked towards them a huge smile on her face. At the last minute she made a gesture like a magician revealing a magic trick and there was Tina holding her daughter by the hand.

Alice took one look at Emily and burst out laughing Oh my god its mini-Bette.

Emily didnt understand how these big people could be so stupid. She stamped her foot and put on her best imitation of Mommys stern face.

Alice laughed harder Oh my god, it is..

Emily looked up at her Mommy, not understanding why these people were laughing at her. Tina reached down, picked her up and whispered into her ear Dont worry..its just crazy Aunt Alice.. she looked at Alice Hi Alice..great start..

Alice sobered up Well what do you expect.. three years and only a postcard..

Alice we write every week .. Tina smiled.

Yeah.. but you seem to have forgotten one or two important things.. Alice added, nodding towards Emily.

Bette pulled over two chairs and as they sat she touched Tina lightly on the back guiding her into the chair. When they were seated she rested her arm protectively along the back of Tinas chair, offering unspoken support.

Shane looked at the two of them, taking in their body language, she turned to Tina So..are you going to introduce us?

Everyone this is my daughter, Emily.. Tina said smiling at them all, brushing back Emilys dark curls so they could clearly see her little girls beautiful face.

Shane looked at Emilys dark curly hair and her dark eyes; she noticed how similar she looked to Bette. She smiled at Emily Emily.. thats a pretty name..

Emilyd had enough of all these people staring at her. She turned and buried her face in Tinas shoulder.

Alice turned to Shane Good one Shane..look youve scared her

Bette leaned over and whispered into Emilys ear Would Emily like to come with me..see if we can find a treat?

Emily peeked over Tinas shoulder and nodded her head. Bette held out her arms and when it was clear that Emily was comfortable going with Bette Tina passed her over.

The Porter charm does it again said Alice.

Do you want coffee Bette asked Tina as she stood up with Emily in her arms. Tina nodded and turned to watch as the two of them walked towards the counter.

Alice turned to Shane I think weve finally found the one girl out there whos immune to your charms Shane.

Give her a few more years Alice.. Dana said unconvinced.

Tina smiled at the girls around the table It seems some things never change ..

But some things do Shane said nodding in Emilys direction Are you gonna fill us in?
