    Living for Love: Chapter 29

Reading the histories of her memebers, Dana felt like she was back at tennis camp. Taking small notes in her pocket, Dana did her best to learn about her clients. There was no mention of them joining just to be with a celebrity but they probably got the picture yesterday that she was there to teach. Dana reserved the track course for one hour; half of which was spent running forward, backward, inward, and outward. Dana and her clients did one lap a certain way then switchde to the next way, then the next way, and so forth. When the halftime came, they all caught their breath and walked with ease.

Walking down the stairs, Dana went over the day’s training plan. It would consist of everybody switching partners; Person A with Person B, then with Person E, then with Person C, until everybody had worked with everybody else.

Dana yelled, ‘GO’ and the tennis balls were flying all over the courts. She timed the members for one minute and waled in between courts watching them and their performances. Mike was left handed and he was playing against Leo who was right handed. Dana thought it made a good idea because she once played against a left handed player. She saw them switching hands and told them to stick with one hand per play.

Dana said, ‘It may keep you from getting tennis elbow, but don’t switch hands until after a score or a miss.’

Mike and Leo said, ‘Got it’ and resumed playing.

Caroline and Ethan were playing very aggressively. Dana was impressed but she felt they were just trying to impress her.

Dana stopped her watch and said, ‘TIME!’ Everybody assembled in the center court at the net. Dana complimented them on their demomstrations. The entire switch partner lesson took 56 minutes; seven partners, one minute per partner, and one minute in between switching. 6 rounds of that, and some light weight work made the day go by smooth, hard, and Dana loved it.

Dana said, ‘All right. You guys did good today. Try and hold on to what you learn here, everyday. The achievements you make here can be just as good as the achievements you make in life. Dismissed.’

    Everybody said, ‘Yes, ma’am!’
