Bette and Tina started kissing slowly and tenderly until Bette admitted that she was tired. Tina waited until Bette was sleeping peaceful to ease away from her beautiful partner.
She crept into the kitchen and picked up the phone and dialled a familiar number
“Hi – its me — I need a couple of favours “ Tina looked through at the sleeping figure of her partner “ I need to borrow your beach house for a baby shower and something else — a recommitment ceremony “

Bette and Tina spent a loving couple of days together. Both waiting for the letter from the hospital to confirm that Tina had the all clear.
One day Tina had gone to work and Bette was sitting on the sofa reading a book when someone knocked at the door. It was Helena carrying a couple of bags.
“I was bored at work and Tina is running around like a maniac. Can I seek asylum here from your woman ? “
“Yes “ Bette laughed “ Come in “
Helena came in – Bette looked her over. She looked good – light grey trousers and a white shirt, her long dark hair was tied back.
“Can I get you anything ? “
“No – I’m fine thanks . How are you Bette ? “
“Fine – things are good between us. I’m going to have some juice – can I get you one and we’ll get the chess board out “
“A great idea “
Bette fixed two glasses of juice while Helena got the ornate chess-set out that Tina had bought Bette when they had got married and Bette had left in LA
“So – how’s the baby ? “
“Practicing his kick boxing at the moment “
“Does that feel weird ? “
“At first it was a vast thing but now I am used to it. It proves that he is healthy “
“When is he due ? “
“Nine weeks “
“Nervous ? “
“A bit – more about the birth rather than anything else “

Ouch, that sucks, my grandmother would always say “You have to go through the tunnel to get to the other side of the mountain, look for the light because it means that you are almost there.” Here’s hoping that you will soon see the light :o). I was a bit uneasy about Bette talking to Helena, but I thought that Tina being pregnant was implied as they talked by not speaking directly about the subject. Great chapter :o)
i hope you feel better! someday you will find the rigth person who know the amazing person that you are. The chapter good very good! i hope Bette and Tina will be more relax now with this good news!
You know we’re all pulling for you Ally. But Ally, damn it, I asked you not to make me watch them play chess, and now this. I shall try to forgive you. Talk about synchronisity: my teacher was telling us today about the time she got stuck with the blood drawing equipment that had been used on a person with Hepatitis C. My teacher was tested every 3 months for a year for both Hepatitis and HIV. I’ll say it again. The girls should have fun, but play safe.
BTW, I love the font you use. It’s like reading handwriting, good handwriting. … Helena in the middle of their business? I hope she is not up to her S2 nefarious ways, for both their sakes. I don’t like nobody in my bizness, even if it is messed up, it’s still MINE! My mother used to say, “You don’t have any business. You have arrangements.” Go figure…Thanks!

I am so sorry to hear about your news. Just take one breath at a time. Your writing was absolutely reflective in nature. Helena has turned into a wonderful friend to both Bette and Tina. Helena may be the one who helps B&T through the tempestuous waters. (god you have got to love a thesaurus). I always look forward to one of your stories. How is your Wimbledon going?

I’m sorry, Ally. Love sucks sometimes, but the hurt will ease. It just takes time. Take it one day at at time and the person who is truly meant for you will cross your path when you least expect it. You can’t tell you’re unhappy by your writing, though!

Another great chapter Ally. So sorry to hear about your broken heart. All I can say is that it is their loss. Your writing is brilliant as always. It cracks me up how Helena picks up on the smallest of details; and the way she asked Bette about Andrew’s ethnic background without actually asking her. I liked the name of Bette’s gallery – is it supposed to be Tina K scrambled, or am I totally off on that? You hang in there Ally! I’ll be waiting for more!

I had expected Helena to be the one to end the chapter with either a quiet satisfied “checkmate” or a big “CHECKMATE! HAHAHA” and maybe a happy dance. lol

I haven’t left any comments in a while, But I wanted you to know I always enjoy your stories. Heartbreak sucks! But it will go away. Take nice, long bubble baths and get lots of hugs from friends.
Sorry for your heartache. My mom always said that everything happens for a reason. It seems to be a sappy statement but has always turns out to be for the best. Someone better for you will absolutely come along. Your writing is never subpar….always stellar.

To everyone wondering how helena knows that Tina is pregnant — H has noticed that T has given up coffee – she doesn’t want bette to actually tell her but they both know that she knows
