    Chapter 5- Carmen feels rejected but has it all wrong.

     

    “Carmen, I’ve never been with anyone since you and I haven’t wanted to.”

    “… wanted too.” I can’t believe what I just heard. That means she still does love me. Then there was something I had to ask. Something I have been dying to ask since she got home from Canada.

     

    “Then why, Shane, why did you leave me at the alter? You knew I loved you, you knew I was going to marry you. How could you hurt me like that? How could-“ Next thing I knew her lips were pressed against mine.

    I kissed her. At first she was surprised but she kissed me back.

     

    “Carmen, I left because I didn’t want to be my father, I know that’s not a real excuse but I didn’t want to hurt you and that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t wan-“ This time she kissed me, and hard.

    Everything I had been waiting for, for the last 2 years and here she was telling me. I kissed her, hard. I backed us up to the couch. We both sat down. And she broke the kiss. She started to open her mouth, but I cut her off.

     

    “Please stay. We can stay right here, we don’t have to go to the bedroom. I want to fall asleep in your arms and you in mine. I want to wake up the same way.” I laid her down and curled up next to her. I draped my arm across her front.

     

    “You’re right, a lot of shit went down today, really fucking fast.” She kissed the top of my head and we were both asleep within minutes.

    “I can’t believe what happened with Cole and Shane at The Planet today.”

     

    “I know, babe it was crazy.”

     

    “I wonder what Shane and Carmen are doing right now. If they’re talking or fucking.”

     

    “ALICE!”

     

    :”What Dane? You know you want to know the same thing.”

     

    “Al, enough gossiping or you won’t be getting any tonight.”

     

    “Dana! You know since Bette and Tina have solved their problems, they are all I have to talk about. I wonder if Shane stayed there or if she fucked her and ran.”

     

    “Alice! That’s it! None for you tonight!” Two can play at this game.

     

    “But you promised, you said we would have a wild night!”

     

    “I warned you about gossiping.”

     

    “Fine, none for you then either.”

     

    “That’s not fair I didn’t gossip!”
