After her third win, the one that put her into the finals, Bette made it a point to catch up with Marina after the tournament since their first get together wasn’t the most enjoyable she had had with her old friend.
She felt somewhat worried going into the final. Yolana had been knocked out early after having a shockingly poorly played semi with a little know Japanese player.
Bette was now up against Miuki who was an unknown factor. Tonight she and Tina would spend time watching match tapes even after Rico had spent a good deal of time going through them already. The fact of the matter was that as much as she respected and cared for Rico, Tina was able to give her insight beyond what he was. She felt incredibly fortunate to have two of the best minds in tennis coaching her.
Tina sat on the couch in Bette’s room as Bette put in the tape Marina had sent over. “Oh, let me grab my notes.” Tina said as she rang to the other room to grab her notebook, then rushed back in and jumped on the couch next to Bette who was lounging against the arm rest.
“What notes could you have already?” Bette asked.
“I jotted some thoughts down this afternoon.”
“You’ve watched the tape before?” Bette looked at her puzzled.
“Yeah, Marina brought it by while you were at practice and I went through it a couple of times.”
Bette shifted her hair behind her in a gesture Tina came to know as indication that Bette was nervous about something. “So, um Dana told me that Helena and Marina hooked up the other night.”
“Yeah. Wild huh?” Tina responded with a grin.
Bette looked at her, trying to read her for other emotions since Tina seemed to be so relaxed about the pair being together.
“So you’re ok with that?”
Tina frowned slightly. “With what?”
Bette leaned down and now rubbed her land absently as she attempted to gain the courage for this conversation.
“With Marina and Helena. I mean, you dated Marina and could’ve dated Helena.”
Tina shrugged. “It wasn’t meant to be. If it was, I would be with one of them, right?”

Hey Robi, Great to finally see some progress between Bette and Tina. Bette admitted that her relationship with Jody was one of convenance and not love as Tina let on her feelings for Bette. Now I just want them to tell each other how they really feel and ACT on these feelings. Many thansk for this latest update. Your Loyal Fan.
Jody is on his way out (the sooner the better imo) and Tina can slowly make her move. I am really loveing this story ppvs.
Wow, Tina has a way of letting Bette know that it is her that she wants. It has been an interesting Open this year. I was kind of pulling for Ana Invanovic. That woman is gorgeous but damn is has lost already. Now back to your story, I like the direction and speed that Bette and Tina are working at. They both know that it is the other that has caught their eye. You can take as long as you want with this story because I am really enjoying this one.

I was just about to go to sleep when I saw this was posted. Had to stay up and give it a read. Loved it. Moving closer together. Bette realizing she needs to end it with Jody the leech. Can’t wait for more.

Your longest post and I still wanted more. Glad to see the girls opening up. Have a feeling the boat house may be a rockin’. Yeah, Jim Courier is not my favorite commentator. I saw him play on the senior’s tour recently and he seems such a tool.

Having such a crappy day at work, ( well even working for ones self you can have crappy days) So I decided to take a well deserve coffee break. And what a delightful surprise to see that you had posted Robi one of favorite stories this season. Anyways the little “subtle” but obvious scenes between Bette and Tina are so wonderful. And I really cannot wait to read how the “sleeping” arrangements go. I just hope that Bette gets a bolt of clarity and just tells Tina how she really feels.
