Tina is still with Eric, but she is not sure how much longer she can be with him.  She recently allowed him to get some below the waist action and while it felt ok, she couldn’t help wondering what a girl would feel like.  While she thinks she would jump at the chance to be with Bette, she doesn’t feel that will happen due to Bette’s recent demeanor.  So she is paying attention to other girls in school. 

At practice:

“Ladies, we have been invited to play in San Francisco to play in a tournament on two weeks.  This is a great opportunity for our juniors and undeclared seniors to be seen by some big time division I programs.  So I need you to have these waivers signed by your parents to give you permission to stay overnight.  We will be at the Hilton and all of the room assignments will be worked out by the coaching staff before we leave.  Ok, stretch it out.  Captains pick your teams.  You have the floor for one hour to scrimmage.  I want to see good defense.”   

In the locker room after practice:

Two of the last players to shower and change are Karen and Sydney.  Karen is talking about Bette.

“Omg Syd, she is fucking awesome.  I’ve never felt so  physically close to another person in my life. I mean she puts my body under a spell. Fuck that woman can kiss.”

“I hear you Karen.  We both know how great Bette Porter is in the sack, but you know how she is.  She’ll drop you as soon as some other girl catches her eye.  Look, I know you guys are close but maybe this Friends With Benefits thing is just not enough for you anymore.”

Karen knew Syd was probably right.

Tina hears this conversation and decides to make her presence known.  She slams her locker shut and walks past Karen and Syd to exit the locker room.

“Shit, Syd. You think she heard us?”

“Probably.”

“Hey Tina.  Great game on Saturday.” Bette said to the blonde.

“Thanks Bette.” She just continues to walk past Bette.

“Hey Tina?”

“What Bette?”

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”  As if you really care.

“Is everything ok with you and Eric?”
