LOVE AND PRIDE – Chapter 32
Tina watched Bette as she dozed fitfully. After Bette had cried herself out., she had fallen asleep held by Tina was concentrating on taking care of the woman she loved. Very carefully she eased away from Bette and headed downstairs to have words with Helena.
The house was dark apart from a light in the kitchen. Alice and Shane were washing up
“How’s Bette ?” Shane asked drying a glass
Tina opened the fridge, retrieved a bottle of beer and opened it with the opener that hung on the wall behind her.
“Really upset – she is asleep now. Where’s everyone else ? “
“Your sister in law has gone chasing after Dylan who walked out in disgust at her behaviour. She was going to take her car but we got to her keys first – she was well gone. She went nuts but she would have wrapped herself round the first tree she came up to. The others have gone back – we decided to stay and clean up “ Alice explained
“Thanks – that is really sweet of you – and despite everything -thank you for stopping her killing herself. I don’t want anything to stop me killing her myself “
“Its pretty much an open secret that she is not over you “
“There is no ME to get over. I was curious about my sexuality and I just wanted a gay friend to talk to and its another thing that I knew I was part of a bet “
Alice looked ashamed
“That was my fault. I judged you wrongly – the more I have got to know you the worse it is. I was pretty mean about Bette as well – she is actually cool “
“What do I do guys ? If its an open secret that its only a matter of time before Bette finds out that Helena lusts are me. It will hurt her. She utterly adores her sister”
“She adores you more “ Alice assessed
“Alice is right – Bette would do anything for you – its obvious by how she looks at you “
“I don’t want her to have to be put in a position where she has to make a choice. I may be her lover but Helena is her sister “

Oh boy, we’re going to Scotland! You take the high road. I’ll take the low road. I think both Bette and Tina took the high road, good for them. Is this the very first time in Helena’s life that everything didn’t work out perfectly for her? This could be very hard for her. Hopefully she’ll meet the challenge and grow for it.
I almost forgot the most important thing: I’M FIRST!

Well, in S4, Helena is going to find out how the other half lives w/o scads of money. However, she is drop dead gorgeous which will be to her advantage. How does 99% of the world get along w/average or less means and average looks?? PPS.

STOP, STOP, STOP!!! Ally what is going on here. That was a pretty low blow for Tina saying to Hel that her and Bette are not real sisters. And why is Bette being so judgemental of the sister that she supposedly loves. Bette is being more than cold to Helena and since Bette knows first hand about Hels upbringing you would think that she of all people wold understand why Hel is acting out. Has Bette completely forgotten that she made a play for someone she knew that her sister was digging on??? What’s even worse is Bette calling her sister a brat. If that is really how Bette feels why does she even bother hanging w/ Helena? I’m still loving the story but I’m no longer loving Bette and Tina. I thought Tina didn’t want to come between the sisters; well she is doing one heck of a job…….any word on the L Wing???
The way Bette handled her sis was so hot! Can’t wait to read about Bette’s b-day weekend.
I love this story! Totally think that Helena had that coming to her- she is acting like a spoiled, jealous brat! Bette and Tina aren’t bothering anyone-they’re in love, so what! Helena is the one initiating everything- she is the one who is fanning the flames- and I think that somehow “down the road” she is going to spill the beans on Bette’s trust fund – just a feelin’- but knowing that drama may lie ahead – hope the girls have lots of fun and make good memories in Scotland!! 10 stars!

A lot of insight into Bette, Tina, and Helena’s inner workings. What makes each woman tick and why they do what they do. Helena has never in her life had someone love her for her. Bette has always been the wall flower because of her insecurities, and Tina is insecure because of her family life. Tina to me has to most to be insecure about because of her mother, but yet it seems that Helena is the one in the worst state of mind.
i smell more drama comin,but im glad bette didnt take helena sh*t.but i think helena will do something stupid..tibette will have a greatweekend to expoled things..p.p.s
Helena had that coming…even though she was drunk there were times when she was sober that she acted like an ass to Tina. Tina didn’t want you…get over it! She was acting like a spoiled brat. Bette gave her a chance to say what she felt about her & Tina dating she said it was okay wih her…so don’t get in front of everyone INCLUDING your girlfriend and act a fool. Bring on the weekend!

Alpha Bette is always a definition of sexy! I feel sad though; I really like the relationship between Bette and Helena. Hope they can find some ways to sort it out.
