When inside Shane whispered something to the waiter at the podium. He was an older looking man ; he just smiled and nodded. Shane too smiled and she grabbed Carmen’s hand as she began leading her down a stretched hallway leading out onto a deck which lead to the docks.

Shane lead Carmen over to a large sailboat which was named ‘ Fastbreak ‘, Carmen placed her free hand over her mouth and gawked.

" Shane, I didn’t know you owned a boat ?! ", She exclaimed still shocked

" Well, I just got it a few days ago, and this is the first time I’m going to be riding it … so I wanted to take you with me ", She explained .. stuffing her hands into her pockets bashfully

" Awwe, baby that’s so sweet ; thank you … ", Carmen said gratefully as she kissed Shane’s cheek

" It’s nothing really. So anway … shall we ? ", Shane asked offering her arm

Carmen took it and replied, " Lead the way "

2 hours later ….

They’d been out at sea for 2 hours now, they weren’t that far away from the docks, but far enough. They had eaten the gourmet food the resteraunt had prepared for them. Carmen loved the experience.

Shane was steering the boat for a short while then came back to join Carmen who was sitting down comfortably.

" I’m suprised you know how to steer a boat ", Carmen said unknowingly

" Well … ", Shane started as she stood up and walked over to the railing ; leaning against it

" You see … when I was little, and before my dad turned into an alchoholic, he use to love sailboats … it was his obsession, he was always out on the water playing around with a sailboat. And he taught me how to operate it and stuff. That’s when he loved me … when I had parents who actually cared, you know ? ", Shane explained swallowing the lump that formed in her throat

Carmen looked at her sympathetically and stood up. She walked over to her and placed an arm on her shoulder, " Shane, you don’t have to fight this alone. Please, if you need to talk … talk to me "

Shane turned around and faced her, then said, " I know I can, it’s just hard sometimes … "

" I understand … it hurts … "

Shane chuckled slightly and got an idea, " Well, luckily I’ve found a way to prevent myself from being hurt "

Carmen gave Shane a blank stare, " Some kick ass dance moves ", Shane finished as she swiftly placed a hand on Carmen’s waist then grabbed her hand and dipped her down smoothly.

Carmen laughed as she placed a hand on her shoulder, " Okay, I was so not expecting that ! "

Shane only offered a smile as they continued to dance the whole night …

" I’m content here … there’s no where else I’d rather be … but here in your arms … "
