Love Is Another Word For Regret pt 14.
Tina Kennard had been sitting stationary in the passengers seat of Erics black Impala, eyes focused on the hills unfolding before her very eyes. The sun crested the gentle folds of land, creating a scene like one that might be found in a painting or photograph. It was almost too beautiful to be true. Eric seemed to be thinking the same thing, because he had asked her at least 3 times in the past minute if it was as beautiful for her as it was for him. The car ride had been longer than they both expected, with a quick rest stop and then some lunch. Now however, the car had been silent for over an hour, leaving Tina to be alone with her thoughts, with her personal struggles.
Were almost there baby, and then well be able to finally relax outside of the city. Eric said awkwardly, feeling at his side for his lovers soft fingers. He brought each one to his lips, pressing his lips gently to each one as her cheeks glowed.
It was after dark when the headlights finally shone upon a large resort ahead. It was even bigger than Tina had imagined, and less crowded as well. Beside the building was a small chapel, the neon lights igniting the streets surrounding it. Her stomach dropped, her heart stopped and all breathing ceased as Tina put two and two together, assessing the real reason for Erics vacation. He had intended to bring her here and wed her, simple as that. No family, no friends, just a bunch of strangers to witness the wedding of two loving people.
It looks amazing, Eric! Tina shouted as happily as she could, ironing a tight lipped smile to her face. Her eyes were wide with mock surprisal, hands cupping his free hand and squeezing it tightly. I didnt know that it would be this nice or I would have probably brought more formal clothing.
His smirk showed that he had fallen for her lies, that he hadnt realized that she really dreaded a commitment. Dont worry, clothes dont matter. I didnt say we were leaving the room did I? He arched a brow, wiggling both as a massive smile tugged at his lips.
Were going to get tired at some point, you know that? She laughed, wheeling her generously packed black suitcase through two sets of revolving doors into a lobby that was more than majestic, it was…. simply amazing. Gold decor flowed along the walls, fountains dispersing water all through every walk way. Tina gasped, unable to hold back the surprise. She squeezed Erics hand and followed him to the room.

Love your descriptive writing. That was a wicked game of truth or dare. Can’t wait for the next post.
I see what you mean Hmm? but the whole idea of this story is to progress so that we understand why Shane never really likes relationships(its my way of seeing it) and I know your comment is only meant to help out, but it will become B&T,infact, the next chapter will get a bit more into it. So be ready.
