Love Lost, Love Gained – Part 2

2 months Later

Ring.ring.

Alice groaned as she tried to block out the noise, putting a pillow over her head.

Ring Ring. Ring Ring.

“Oh god, kill me now!” she growled as she flung her hand towards the phone, picking it up she yelled. “What?!”

"Sorry did I wake you up?”
“Yeah” Alice replied slowly shaking her head.
“Well I was just ringing to let you know that you’re late".
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“Alice its 10:30.”
“No it isn’t”
“Isn’t it? Look at your clock Al.”
Alice groaned as she looked at the clock. “Its flashing okay, it is telling me it is midnight!”

“Alice love, you must have had a power cut during the night.” She heard Alice moan. “Okay then here is the question that will tell you whether I am telling you the truth or not.” Alice heard the giggle down the phone line then the question. “Is it light or dark in your room?”
“Oh fuck.” Alice slapped a hand to her head. “Look okay I will meet you at The Planet as soon as I can Helena.”
“Okay. See you soon”.

Alice parked her car and slowly made her way in to the café. Seeing her friends she walked over and sat heavily into the vacant chair.

“Late night Alice?” Jenny asked smirking.
“Not really, just drank too much” Alice smiled.
Helena looked towards Bette then back to Alice. “Alice love we need to talk about that.”
“huh? About what? My drinking?” Helena nodded her head. “Look I was joking okay, it was a late night with this beauty, she had blonde hair I know not what I normally go for but my! She had legs that could do the most random things and her tongue”

“Okay Alice we get it, we’re sorry. We were just worried.” Bette stopped her before she went into anymore detail.

Alice sighed and took her glasses off. “I know guys and I appreciate it. The whole 100 other times you told me as well. I took your advice and I only had a drop.”

Alice saw her friends frown “Look I’m telling you the truth. The last time I had a hangover was about a month ago” Helena was a bout to interrupt. “Look guys I know you don’t believe me but it’s the truth. I learnt my lesson after the pill popping last year.”
