“Tell you what, as soon as I get some time and if you and Bette would like, I’ll come over and let you know what should be done to get it back in shape. And believe me, it will be an extremely reasonable price.”
“That would be great. I’ll tell Bette.”

Bette made her way to the grill. She laughed to herself. She couldn’t cook worth a ***** on the stove in the kitchen. Put nearly the same appliance outside, arm herself with an oversized spatula, oversized tongs, oversized flames and oversized food and she was Bette, Queen of the Grill – stay clear, folks, the Queen does not – will not tolerate anyone in the grilling area – stand clear and marvel at her skills!
Yeah, it’s the oversize of everything and I am in control of it! Hey, I must retain strict control and alpha status on a couple thingsa grin slowly appears on Bette’s face as she takes a quick glance over at TinaI have given up control on all the really important things, right, babe?
Their mental telepathy was working again, as Tina must have caught Bette’s thought, turned and smiled back at her Queen.
What she does to me with just a smile, Bette thought.
Tina excused herself from Susan and made her way to Bette. Her eyes never left Bette as she crossed the yard. She silently wished they were the only ones hereMaybe Alice is right, she chuckled, perhaps we should be in Ripley’s.
Leaning in to Bette’s ear and running her hand down Bette’s arm holding those oversized tongs, Tina seductively whispered,
“Do you think maybe later you could flip me overyou know, just to make sure that all portions of my prime center are juicy and done to your taste?”
Bette’s knees buckled. Her left hand reached for the side table of the grill to steady herself. Tina has fine honed the art of bringing her Queen to her knees, literally and figuratively.
“TGod, I beg of you, babe, STEP BACK FROM THE GRILL and the Grill Queen!well, yeah, that does feel really nice” Tina presses her body into Bette’s back, adding a slow grind for emphasis. “.STOP!!! I must complete this taskhoney, pleaseor”

Great chapter, Iloved the interaction between B&T at the grill. I hope that Alice can put her nose to GOOD use and sniff out Susan. I would love to see Nancy contimue to be pat of this story, maybe as a match with Alice. I am not a fan of Kit and Ivan as a match, and I don’t think that Kit needs the additional drama. Lets give Kit some hetero. lovin.

Wonder what Helena has up her evil sleeve this time and just does Susan think she can do to come between B&T……aaaah the suspense.
RC..love that way the story is going. Loved the manner in which Bette handled Helena at the CAC…having Nancy listen in was great. Tina’s way of handling the Queen of the Grill was fun & sexy. Like to see that playful side of them. Shane is and will always be the protector of Bette & Tina. She loves them and won’t let anything or anyone harm them. Alice is following her instinct;she knows something isn’t right with Susan. The phrase “too good to be true” is apparent with Susan. I’m glad Alice is going to investigate Susan. RC…I’m really enjoying the story. Thanks for posting, and please continue.

this is good… i have a feeling this susan is not going to stick to the plans the bitch gave her… she just might like the relationship bette and tina have… or alice to the rescue… she may just crack the case… please continue

There’s a powerful sense of humour and happy turns of phrases in the way you write this wonderful story and I truly love that. You really have a gift to perfectly resume characters with few words or even one happy formula like this “McCutcheon Security” of yours, for example ! Yes, your humour is a reader’s delight…
This scene in Bette’s office was a masterpiece : I loved the venomous exchange, Bette’s control, her silent interraction with the wonderful James and this great finale with Nancy (…at least I think ?) on the phone.
And then this barbecue scene, mastered as a great piece of calm-before-the-tempest scene pointing everybody’s future parts in the coming Peabody-esque drama : Susan the spy, Shane the protector, the so marvelously intuitive Alice (what a flair, here !), and of course our lovely favorite couple and their unique relationship.
Everything’s ready for the next drama wave, how great ! I’m also ready to savour it step by step until the so wanted Nancy-Helena confrontation on Court ! What a menu… thanks !! ^_^

I love how Tina keeps Bette on her toes. She’s the true power dyke of the two! It’s just that no one knows it. :) I hope Alice is able to check out Susan’s history. I’m still iffy about her. Thanks, RC!!

this was great. loved how bette played hellno. i really dont like her. cant wait for her to get hers. al is on the job, fantastic. shane is just shane. love how shes so protective. the grill queen scene. oh shit her knees buckling, had me laughing. thanks.
Lord my poor brain! There’re so many sub plots withing the main story! Me thinks there’s some DRAMA on the way!
