Neither of them remembered when did they drift to sleep and who fetched them the blanket. Bette woke up first. She was use to three hours sleep and she had become a light sleeper with nightmares troubling her whatever little sleep she had. She opened her eyes to a pink sky, it was about time for sunrise but something was different today. Tina was in her arms facing her and sleeping peacefully. Bette thought after they woke up together the first time, this was the second best morning of her life. Both with Tina, the love of her life. She looked at Tina, her woundswhich were much better today. She saw those perfect eyesimagined as they would open to show the blue interiors in which Bette could drown her life, those perfect lips.lips that were so soft she could melt at their touch with her ownthose golden locks of hair.which smell like the most natural thing Bette ever thought existed and as she was studying her wife, learning her all over again, Tina stirred a littleas if from a nightmare. Bette: Good morningbaby, did you sleep well..Tina: Hey.Ive never felt better in the morning. What time is it? Bette: Its very early .why dont you sleep a little more and Ill fix some coffee. Tina didnt say anything. She pulled in Bette closer.I want to sleepholding you. Bette didnt want anything morein her life.than to be held by Tina. Tina: When do you have to go to work? Bette: Not anytime soon. I am taking the day off.we can go anywhere you want, do anything you wantokay. I want you to rest. And Ill spoil you rot while you do that. Tina pulled her away so that she could look at those big brown honest eyes. Tina: Ive missed you and missed being spoilt by your love and care. I thought Id die if you left me today and I am so glad you want to stay around and be at my beck and call. Bette managed a big grin: Beck and call it is Ms. Kennard!!

Bette didnt sleep. After she heard Tinas sleep-breathing she pulled herself up and went to the kitchen. She had learnt, to make decent coffee. Coffee is what kept her alive. She put it on brew and went to the bathroom. By the time Tina was up, it was eight. Bette had called James to let him know that she was not coming, toady and tomorrow, she had made coffee and was trying to do eggs for Tina. She had come to appreciate how Tina took time to cook for them and she had decided if they ever get back together, she would learn to cook and make meals for Tina. She had realized a lot when she lost what she had. And because she was ready to amend, she also realized her love for Tina was deeper than her love for life. She was wrong to think she was falling out of love, she could never fall out of love for Tina. It was just so not possible.

Tina came in to smell some food and cooking. She was startled beyond belief. Bette: Hungry? Tina: Are you all right? You are up and not at work and you are COOKING! Bette should I be worried? Bette laughed. Tina was really surprised beyond belief. Bette had changed so much. It was like she was seeing this new person. And she was liking this new person. Has she changed for me? Has she missed me so much as to mend herself? Tina felt a little guilty to not see Bettes transition or be with her when she made an effort to change. Tina knew how hard it must have been for Betteto become patient, to not crave perfection, to give up control.to cook, for heavens sake!

Tina couldnt believe that Bette fixed an unburnt breakfast. She had almost forgotten about Kyles episode until she saw herself in the mirror. She noticed Bettes ice-packed were working well. She also noticed how Bette was eating less and sleeping lesser. She was paler, beautiful but pale and thin. She knew Bette loved her.she knew it that day too.but now she knew how much. Bette loved her enough to change herself for the better. While having breakfast quietly and watching Bette she realized she had questions and she was hurt but she had forgiven Bette and wanted nothing else but to be with her. By the end of it, she decided she wanted to talk with Bette. She wanted to move on.with Bette.
