As Shane and Alice dashed in to knock the door and shout out loudafter they saw Bettes car parked outside..what happened inside in the next three minutes was not even close to what they could fathom. Bette had not give in. Fight it or dieshe had hit KyleBig Mistake! They went into a physical fight as Kyle kicked hertried to force herself upon Bette. Bette was bruised, bleeding from nose and on floor. Kyle was ready to punch her knuckles in her face when she heard the noises and knew she was in trouble. Shane: Bette.open up.I am calling police if you dont open up now! Kyle panicked and got off Bette.Lucky *****! She thought. She got up and looked at Bettewho was convulsing in painlooked at herselfbleeding from the mouth and said: We are even now.She opened the door. And pushed Shane and Alicewho were taken by surprise and ran out.

Alice and Shane ran in.Bette was on floor.her shirt ripped from a sleeveher nose now bleeding freely and she was trying to focus and breathe. Shane called 911 and as she did she looked around the damagethe art on the floorblood on floor..Thats what I was afraid of.This is bad. Alice was in tears and trying to hold Bette up. As Bette realized familiar voices and saw Alice hold hershe wore an expression which bowled out Alice. She was grinning! Alice: Did she hit your headwhat the ***** are you smiling at Porter? Alice said in a choked voice. Bette: I beat the ***** of her.I didnt give in Al and why the ***** are you crying? Bette hadnt realized the extend of damage. She was so relievedthe moment she had heard the phone. She knew it was Shane and impatient Alice and knowing theyd be on their way she had stood up to Kyle. She was so not feeling the pain and for a moment she even thought. We are late for shoppingand stood up trying to balance. Alice helped her upsayingOMG BetteAre u okay?! Bette: I feel great. And as she tried to finish the stand trying to stand her own.Bette got up from the floor and half way there she lost her balance and fell down. Her legs, unable to support her and the throbbing pain in her jaw made her numb and clueless of her balance. Physical and emotional.

It was like slow motion. By the time Alice even realized what was going on, Bette has passed out. Alice was on the floor beside Bette in an instant. She was on the verge of being hysterical and called out, almost shouting, Bette.hey, Bette.and then louderBette. As she held Bette with force and gentleness at the same time and couldnt feel Bette breathe, for a moment Alice felt her heart just stop. The thud shook Shane and the fear rose in her.Oh God! We lost Bette.

As Shane ran towards her, Alice realized she was not alone. It took her a moment to register that Shane was trying to tear away Alices embrace to let Bette find air. As Shane took charge Alice just stood there.looking at Bette. She stood there with the look of immense horror. Alice called out to hercall 911. Shane was fighting back tears and trying to think.

Shane tried to think of whats going on and that made her look in control. Alice was not even blinking now, tears fogging her view she looked atBettes torn and beaten face. They were now panicking beyond control. They suddenly realized how it would be to loose Bette.

Shane was now crying as she failed to revive Bette. Those 10 minutes were the slowest any one of them ever remembered. There movements were slow, heart beats killing them and fear rising to alarming levels. As Shane shifted her position to support Bette better and look at Alice for strength they heard paramedics arrived. Bette was not responding and had not moved at all. Alice let the help in after realizing that she scared them off with her almost tearful and angry outburst for being late.

Another five minutes passed. Shane was now intently looking at Bette. She had been so quiet as if saving her energy and transiting it to Bette. Alice was now sobbing and focused at Bette completely. Why is she bleeding, who hit her? The guy asked. There was silence. Shane was the first to realize that something was being asked. But before she could say something, Bettes hand moved slightly. They both spoke togetherBette.. I am here. The guy looked over and asked againthe same question..same response.

Bette was now hearing some faint words but couldnt make much sense of it. Someone was saying – We need to take her to hospital. Shell need a few stitches and probably a drip. She lightly opened her eyes and she saw Shane and Alice. She smiled and suddenly felt this pain which made her stop. She nearly whisperedT.

Alice hopped into ambulance as Shane took the truck. Bette was still bleeding but she was conscious. All she really cared about was Tina. She feebly whispered as Alice moved her ear to almost touch Bettes mouth. Bette: Dont call heryet. Alice took her hand and nodded. She could see Bettes eyes smile.

She is really shaky. She should be able to walk out in an hour. We have stitched her up and you can take her , shes tired but shes awake. The two looked at each-other thinkingFuck!

Shane was the first Bette saw. Bette and Shane were similar at a level. They hardly ever exchanged words. They talked through their eyes, and at least among themselves they were perfectly okay with it. Thats just how they understood each other, by looking and knowing. Bette knew Shanes eyes said I am here. Bette was trying to wear her jacket. As Shane helped her she hugged Shane tight. And as a tear rolled down Shanes eye As Bette looked over to Aliceshe whispered to Shane: I am okay!! Alice took a moment to wipe her dismal expression off her face and used it to run to them and hug them. Bette was holding these two on either sidesfeeling like a grandma with two children tucked into her. Bette spoke softly: Can you guys drive me homeI want to go homeCan you take me to Tina?

As they helped Bette in the car.and got inBette softly spoke again: I love you twoAlice: You scared me Bette.Shane looked backMe too! Bette moaned as she moved forward and touched both heads with affection.Lets go!

    3. Don’t really care for this violence. Women beating other women is not cool. I don’t think the Bette we know would have anything to do with this type of behavior or person. That’s just MHO

    4. Great story…hanging on waiting for the next install. As far as the violence debate…it’s your story..you take it where you want it! We’re just along for the ride..and what an exciting ride it is!
