After spending the night dreaming of how things used to be between the two women Bette woke up feeling remorse wondering how things had gone so horribly out of control.
Waking up to the feeling of her hair being pushed away from her face made Tina smile sleepily. Struggling to open her eyes she saw Bette watching her intently as she leaned down and kissed her chin, then her nose and finally her lips.
“Good morning beautiful,” Bette whispered. The feeling of waking up every morning and being able to look into Tina’s face was something that she had missed terribly since they had separated. There were so many days when she wondered if she would ever have the chance again. Remembering the look on Tina’s face the night she had discovered her affair with Candace and her eyes began to tear up as she thought of the pain that she had seen reflected in those beautiful hazel eyes. Tina’s eyes this morning however were full of only promise and Bette.
“Liza only woke up twice last night,” Bette said laughing as she snuggled closer to Tina trying to will her own painful memories away.
“Hey! Why are you dressed?” Tina asked as she turned on her side facing Bette.
“I got dressed the first time that I brought Liza in here last night,” replied Bette. “You don’t remember? You told me that I could not go streaking through your house because Alice and Shane were still up.”
Tina laughed, “I really don’t remember saying that but I’m glad you did get dressed. Depending of how drunk those two were last night they may have tag teamed you if they had caught you naked.”
Bette shivered slightly, “Thanks for that ugly early morning visual,” she said giggling.
“Happy Anniversary Baby,” Tina said softly.
“Happy Anniversary to you to Tina,” replied Bette. “I was thinking earlier that I almost didn’t have the opportunity to ever spend another one with you. I know that we both drifted apart but I never meant for things to happen the way they did. I was weak and easily flattered by the attention Candace gave me. I
“I know that we need to talk Bette but can we please not do it today?” Tina said quietly. It’s supposed to be our day and she has already taken so much from us. Just please not today.”

Little things means so much.Like waking up and a picture of you and the LOYL on your first anniversity in on your pillow with a flower. A card you didn’t expect.Still opening the car door for you. Liitle thans. Love the drunks,Bette needs to not talk about Candace to Tina for a while. So she feels guilty, wait,talking doesn’t help your guilt,if the other person is still hurting. thanks
hi, love the chapter! B&T really need to talk, but B also needs to show her love for T! Alice and Shane are funny! Oh can you maybe tell me which of the guys is Laurel’s husband? And her daughter? Tried to find them but, not sure if it was the right guy! thanx

When will Tina open up and face all the problems? When things come, she just cries to sleep; when Bette makes things work, she refuses to talk things out. It’s not a good habbit.

It’s the little things in that hold the greatest meaning. They represent care, thoughtfulness, and love. Once they begin to disappear then other areas begin to be neglected. Thanks so much for the update, please post again soon.

Amanda’s right, Bette should find another topic when it comes to pillow talk, but Tina needs to face the hard stuff some day soon. Now, I’m not adverse to a little chemically induced fun, but when you have to crawl to the bathroom the morning after, it may be time to consider cutting back!
i love your bette. was it just me, or did B and T not seem like ‘our’ B and T in episode 1? anywho, I am counting you and a few other authers I love on this site to keep me appeased, since IC seems hell bent on breaking our hearts…..please post soon.
Have to agree with the others on most of this. The way the relationship starts off, the cards, notes, the little stuff, if your not careful it gradually fades away, as will the relationship. And Bette, in bed with Tina is definitly not the place to bring up Candace. Did I miss something in the premiere of S3 who’s Laurel?
very nice, i love the way bette wants to start doing all these little things but def. had to stop talking about candyass, find another time to do it, when tina is ready to hear
