Tina angrily yelled at Alice, “What do you mean she needed to feel? Did you forget that I’m the one that had the miscarriage, the one who ruined what should have been the most joyous of times for us? I lost the baby Alice… I did, not Bette.”
Alice stared blankly at Tina, “Excuse me!? Would you please say that one more time and listen to yourself… really listen. I can’t believe what you just said Tina!
Tina was trembling as her tears began to fall. “Oh God Alice… it was our baby… not just my baby. I can only imagine the depth of the pain that Bette must have felt. She suffered through it… alone. I was busy blaming myself and being mad at Bette. I blamed her for not being with me at the doctor’s office the day I found out that I lost him. I totally shut down on her Alice.”
Alice walked into the bathroom and returned clutching a handful of Kleenex. “Tina I’m not saying that what Bette did was ok, because regardless of the reasons why, she still broke the vows you made to one another. All I am saying is that maybe both of you forgot how to love each other. Instead of reaching out, you both chose to pretend that you were strong enough and that you didn’t feel like you needed anyone or anything.” Alice sighed as she continued, “I think that you were both so afraid of what the other one felt that you simply allowed yourself to be overwhelmed by your individual pain, and you never shared your hurt and disappointment with each other.”
“Alice I love her so much,” Tina said between her sobs, “How did I think that I could go on without her beside me? She is as much a part of me as Liza is.”
“I know that getting past what happened is not going to be easy but if the two of you can’t figure out how to do that together then you have no future. You have to believe in her, trust her, accept that she fucked up and go on with the rest of your years together."
Bette stared vacantly out the window of the plane. As the lights of Los Angeles blinked into view like a million tiny stars, she was gripped by the realization that the comfort she had always found when returning from a business trip was that she was returning to Tina, not L.A. The thought of making the trip home to an empty house caused the tears to well up in her eyes. Her world was now in San Diego….

So glad you are back. I understand how hard it must be to write this story after the way Season 3 ended, but at least in the land of fanfiction out Bette and Tina can be together where they belong.

I’ll tell you what’s amazing. You posting again. Amen! Sometimes when I think anbout Ilene it’s almost as if I’m thinking aboyt a natural disaster…look at all of the devestation she’s left due to S3 (or as I like to call it, the lost season). Please, please, please post soon!
Welcome back and as others before me have stated we need you because of what Bette and Tina mean to us. They were treated horribly by someone who professes one thing but shows us another. By writing about our favorite couple you not only heal our hearts but your own. Thank for your stories and for your insight into Bette and Tina.
Like I’ve said before, S3 was a crock of shit. I’m glad you’re back and working on this story. B&T are really lucky to have Shane and Alice as friends who can give them a swift kick in the rear when they need it.

2005Fanforever come back and finish this story which in my opinion is great! only deserves a final worthy. I loved your story that goes into my list of favorites. All ingredients Tibette you into this great story, I loved also another that I took me the tears: “Save the Last Dance For Me”, you’re an excellent writer.
