Jacqui took Jess’s phone looked at the text and then handed the phone back. “You’ll need to take me I can’t drive”
Jacqui got Amy’s inhaler from the kitchen and left the house with Jess, promising Bette and Tina she would let them know she was ok.
Paul kneeled next too a sleeping Amy in his spare bedroom.
“Is she okay?” Chloe asked “Her breathing sounds terrible”
“No but she will be” Paul sighed “I’ve asked Jess to bring her inhaler”
Jacqui knocked on Paul’s door.
Paul answered “I don’t think you being here will help”
“I do, where is she?” Jacqui asked
“Jacqui your pregnant” Paul stated “You can’t get stressed”
“Paul what do you think? Do you think I’m going to be nice and calm at home knowing she’s not okay, or do you think I’ll be calm if I can see with my eyes she is ok?”
“Ok you win” Paul agreed “She called me to pick her up, she couldn’t drive for crying”
“Where is she?” Jacqui asked
“The spare room” Paul said “I’m going to go stay at Chloe’s for a few days, it’ll give you some space”
“Thanks, I’d appreciate that” Jacqui said
Jacqui sat in Paul’s living room thinking about what to do. She didn’t notice Amy coming out the room.
“What you doing here?” Amy asked going into the kitchen
Jacqui jumped she didn’t expect Amy to wake up as soon.
“My wife needed me” Jacqui said getting up
Amy took a drink of water and then sat the glass down leaning against the work surface.
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to do” Amy said as the tears started to fall again
Jacqui walked over to her pulling her into her arms. Amy attempted to fight it.
“Baby don’t fight it, you need my arms around you as much as I need to put them around you” Jacqui said “I love you and you know I didn’t set out to hurt you”
Amy stopped fighting Jacqui and just held on to her wife.
“Let it all out I’m not going anywhere, it’s only me and you” Jacqui rubbed Amy’s back
Amy settled down “Come on let’s go lie down” Jacqui said
“I don’t want to go home”
“Were not, we’ll stay here until your ready to go home” Jacqui reassured
Amy lay on top of the covers in Paul’s spare room. Jacqui lay beside her
“Don’t ever keep anything like that from me again” Amy stated as she manovered so she was inside Jacqui’s arms
“I wont I promise you” Jacqui said holding Amy tightly
She was feeling an enormous amount of guilt through all this
Didn’t take long before Amy fell asleep in Jacqui’s arms. It was the one place she felt secure and safe and she didn’t have that place available for almost two weeks.
It also had been a horrible two weeks for Jacqui. She was under so much strain and stress and she just wanted to be next to her wife. She was kicking herself everyday for keeping it from Amy.

Amy is acting like a child. Once she has one of her own, she will understand that parents sometimes go to great lengths to protect their children. This is a great story! PPS
I somewhat agree that Amy is over reacting…but…if I had be been raped, almost died, and spent several years with a therapist trying to understand all of it, come to terms with this, and rebuild trust in people…well I can’t say how I would react when the people who are my support system make a choice for me that backfires!!! Let’s face it, the decision to not tell her was bad…and the consequences of that action fell on Amy coming face to face with her attacker without forewarning..she wasn’t prepared!! Can’t say what I would do under those circumstances…I will give her a break..She has been overprotected by her moms and her wife!!
I agree with didi1956, Amy is acting just like a spoiled petulant child, and since she is so fond of telling everyone that whe is 29 yrs. old and can handle adverse news, then she should act like it. Forgive those loved ones for withholding the info out of love for her she should get over it and move the hell on. She will understand better when they have their own children. Parents just do that kind of thing because they know how their children will feel about certain things and just want to protect them. Thanks.
Amy will come around. Everyone should give her time and space. The main focus should be on the pregnant wife. The stress is not good for her or the baby. Thanks the update : )
