Amy smiled going back to her studying.

“So you were playing catch?” Tina asked

“Yes”

“In the house?”

“Yes!” Nathan said knowing fine well there was no point lying.

“The bowl meant a lot to me and you Mama so thanks Nathan you managed to ruin that!” Tina said walking away from him

“Mum I’m sorry!”

“Sorry just doesn’t cut it this time” Tina responded going upstairs

“Your grounded Ben!”

“Yes Aunty Bette made that clear” Ben sighed

“I’m really disappointed in you” Dana said shaking her head and leaving Ben’s bedroom

Ben sighed he wasn’t use to being in trouble, that was Nathan’s department. He took out his phone and text Nathan.

I feel terrible, damn you for not catching the stupid ball!

Nathan looked at his phone.

Damn you for throwing the ball, it was your stupid idea.

“Mama I feel terrible!” Nathan sighed sitting down

“So you should”

“How do I fix this?”

“You cant, what have you learned?”

“That I need to learn to catch a baseball” Nathan stated

Bette closed her eyes and shook her head.

“I honestly don’t know where you got your brains from” Bette stated

“Well it’s the truth, I can catch a basketball no problem”

“Not this week you can’t, you’re grounded”

“And for once im okay with that” Nathan stated

“You mum just done a 12 hour shift that was the last thing she needed to come home too”

“I know and I’m really sorry” Nathan sighed

“We have enough on our head at the minute without you playing up” Bette stated

“Yes I know and I’m trying real hard to be good and keep my mouth shut”

“You need to try harder and start thinking too” Bette stated

“Yeah I’m not very good at that until it’s too late” Nathan admitted

Bette couldn’t help but laugh.

“Aww baby you made food, I knew I married you for a reason” Jacqui said wrapping her arms around Amy from behind.

“Oh erm thanks and their was me thinking it was for my amazing personality” Amy stated as she stirred the pasta
