Halloween morning

Dana was exhausted. Taking the redeye was always hard but it was worth it. Seeing Alice was worth it. It was all she could do but crawl in to bed. She was asleep before her head hit the pillow.

Alice’s Apartment

Alice-”How does my costume look?”
Gina- “I like the whole peasant-girl look. It is so *****. I won’t be able to keep my hands off you.” Alice blushes.
Alice- ” I just love your costume. We’ll be quite the couple.”
Gina leans in for a slow passionate kiss, pressing Alice against the wall. Gina whispers in her ear, “I can’t wait for after the party, so I can get you alone.”
Alice giggles.

At Dana’s

Dana gets up a few hours later, still feeling the effects of jet lag. Tells herself that it will be better after the shower. The cool shower felt good. With the thoughts of Al creeping in her head, cold is just what she needed. Dana calls Shane to see what the plan is.
Dana- “Hello, Shane.”
Shane- “Hey, Dane. Does this mean your home now?”
Dana- “Yep! Ready to party, too.”
Shane- ” Have a costume?”
Dana- “Yeah, but I’ll surprise you with that. What are you coming as so I’ll be able to find you?”
Shane- “Me? A vampire and Carmen as my victim, Ha, Ha!”
Dana- “Cute, Shane. You gonna suck on Carmen’s neck all night, too?”
Dana giggles.
Shane- “Probably more than that! Bette and Tina will be there. Bette’s going as VanHelsing and Tina will be Anna, Vanhelsing’s love interest.”
Dana- “Wow, everyone has a couples theme. I’ll just be the third wheel, ugh! What about Alice? Is she going?”
Shane- “Yeah, she’s going with Gina. Not sure what their costumes are. She’ll be so glad to see you. She was afraid you’d miss your favorite holiday.”
Dana- (under her breath) “Yeah, the reason why its my favorite is because it’s Al’s and my day.”
Shane- “huh? Did you say something?’
Dana- “Nah, just thinking out loud again.”
Shane- “Well, I’ll see you there, Dane.”
Dana- “Later, Shane. Bye.”

It was almost time to go. Dana had decided to go as one of her favorite heroes. Howey and her use to stay up and watch Zorro when they were little. She was all decked out with the black hat, cape and of course all that went with it. Especially the mask to protect Zorro’s identity.

The Party

Dana walked in to a room full of people decked out in their most creative attire. Shane and Carmen were sitting at a table by the dance floor. Bette and Tina were already dancing, to the Monster Mash song if you can believeit. Dana walked over to the table.
Dana- “Hey, guys!”
Carmen- “Dana, is that you? Didn’t even recognize you.”
Dana- “That’s the idea!”
Shane- “You look great!”
Dana- “Thanks, you don’t look bad yourself. I see Bette and Tina didn’t waste anytime. Out on the dance floor. Too bad they have bad taste in songs.”
Shane- “Yeah, they’ll dance to anything.”
All laugh.

Dana- “So, is Al here yet?”
Shane- “Haven’t seen her.”
Dana- “Guess I’ll just have to look around and surprise her.”

On the other side of the room, Alice enters the room with Gina. They head straight for the bar and order a couple drinks. Alice see the gang but isn’t ready to go over. She wants a little alone time with her date.

Alice- “Wow, is it hot in here or is it just me?”
Gina- “Oh, you are definitely hot!”
Alice- “Keep that up and we won’t be here long enough to show off my costume.”
Gina- “And that would be a bad thing?”
Alice- “Not at all. It might be more fun to build the tension a little before we leave the party.”
Gina- “I like the way you think. Let’s see who drags who out of here first.”

 The whole evening Alice and Gina had turned up the heat and were relentlessly teasing one another. Alice was engaged in a conversation with a friend from work. Gina excused herself to go to the bathroom. Alice found herself alone a few minutes later and decided to go find her date.

Dana hadn’t spent much time with her friends but instead wandered around the room, looking for Alice. She was about to give up when someone came up behind her and wrapped their arms around her waist. Dana froze. The next thing she knew- words were being whispered in her ear. It was Alice!
Alice spun Dana around and pressed her body against hers. From there she grabbed Dana by the back of the neck and pulled her in for the hottest, most passionate kiss imaginable. Their tongues merged and set their bodies on fire. When they finally broke away, it was as if the whole world just stopped, both stunned by the moment. Dana was the first to snap out of it. She bolted out of the room.
Alice- “Hey, where are you going?”
 Gina came up behind Alice.
Gina- “Who are you talking to?’
Alice turned to see Gina.

Gina- “Are you okay? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
Alice- “Huh? Yeah, where were you?”
Gina- “Outside, to get some fresh air.”

Alice was stunned. Gina was Zorro, but that wasn’t her that she kissed. Who did she just kiss? That kiss was the most amazing kiss she ever experienced and she didn’t even know who the masked hero was. Alice legs were still shaking when Shane came up to her.

Shane- “Hey, Al! Where you been hiding?”
Alice- “Nowhere.”
Shane- ” Dana’s back, did she find you? I would have told you she was going to be here but she wanted to surprise you.”
Alice- “Where is she? What is she wearing?”
Shane- “She is Zorro, Al.”

Alice’s face went pale again. She walked away saying, “Oh my God, I just kissed my best friend.  She surprised me, Thats for sure”
