At the mean time in the cab, Tina is letting the news sink in herself. She has had the same shock as Bette, if not bigger. She should have known better, she could have known that Bette would want to spend Christmas with her long term friends. But why didn’t Alice tell her, then she could have decided not to come. She realizes very well that this is a very awkward situation. She is convinced of herself that she would turn around and take the plane back to LA, if that was only possible. But now she had to get herself ready for a confrontation with Bette in the middle of nowhere on a snowy road. She had one hope, that the sweep team would come soon and she could leave with them before Alice and Bette had arrived.
Also Tina tried to imagine what it would be like to see her again. What will she do? What should she say? What will she feel? Questions on which she needed to find an answer soon, because she had know idea how long it would take for them to get here. She tries to imagine what Bette would look like, probably almost the same as back then. She can not imagine Bette with short hair and non-trendy clothes. She will always have her Bette Porter smile, which charms everybody. But Tina can not think that she will smile her famous smile to her. She is about sure that Bette will more likely likes to hit and shout at her.
And what would she feel. Would the chemistry still be there? Tina hadn’t had any more steady relations with women, she did have some one-night stands but nothing serious. She still was not able to open up in public about her feelings for women but she also had feelings for men. When Tina had found out that she was bisexual, she wished that her feelings for men would be bigger than for women. It would make it all much simpler for her. But you can not force nature and up till now she has had no deep feelings for any men she has met or for any women for that matter. She had put up a shield in her mind to stop herself for falling in love, like she had done with Bette. Tina was afraid, she was afraid that she would still have till big crush on Bette, that her heart would start beating rapidly and the knowledge that after the years Bette could still do this to her.

Okay, you can not stop here. My heart is pumping and I am having an anxiety attack so now you have to finish. You can not leave me hanging like this. You know I love B&T so they have to find their way back together.
So, what’s it going to take to get them to jump into each other’s arms? I’m SO glad to hear you haven’t forgotten the other story…I really like that one and would love a happily ever after there too! I’m greedy that way! Betina happy ever afters all around!! lol!
..and then…? You are so cruel, leaving us with such a cliffhanger! I only hope all flights are cancelled due to fog, so that your love cannot distract you from writing further installments! Ok, just kidding… Thanks for posting, even if it’s just a very short chapter maybe?
