    Dana and Alice find an unexpected visitor on their doorstep.

    “Hey Dane what about this one?” I asked, squeezing Dana’s hand.
    “Aaw that one’s so cute! Hello little dog” Dana cooed at the dog through the bars and the dog wagged her tail happily.

    We pointed the dog out to the warden, who explained that she had been abandoned and they had found her in a cardboard box in an alleyway. The more I heard about her, the more I wanted to give her a home. So we decided on this dog and we were soon taking her home.

    “What do you wanna call her?” Dana asked as she drove.

    “Hmm I dunno. I’ve always like the name Molly for a dog, do you think it suits her? She looks kinda like a Molly to me”.

    “Molly sounds perfect” Dana grinned at me.

    We pulled up outside our apartment and took Molly out, ready to take her in to her new home. As we walked up the hallway to my front door, I could see someone sitting outside it, obviously waiting for us, or one of us. I squinted and was shocked at who I saw.

     

    Sitting there on our doorstep was none other than the infamous Gabby Devaux, Alice’s ex-girlfriend who had treated her like shit and broken her heart. I looked across at Alice to find that she too was staring in shock at the woman in front of us. My gaze returned to Gabby and I saw that she was crying heavily, her tear-streaked face screwed up in anguish.

    Beside me, Alice had begun to walk forwards and she slowly bent down beside Gabby so that they were at the same level. She hesitantly stretched out her hand and rested it on the crying woman’s shoulder.

    “Gabby? What is it? What’s happened?”

    I heard a few noises come from Gabby as she tried to talk, but each time she tried the tears stopped her. I stood, watching the pair crouched down at the door. Alice looked up me and her eyes told me that she didn’t know what to do, she looked worried. As much as I hated Gabby, I didn’t want to see my girlfriend with that look, so I knew that I had to help in some way.

    1. O-OH, Gabby turning up looks like trouble!!! Not sure she has a genuine bone in her body, but hopefully you have softened her up. Don’t leave it too long before posting again.
