    Moi Lolita #11

Woken up by the crisp rays of the sun, casually reaching over to smooth her arm over the coolness of the other aide of the bed. Wakening completely to see no one by her side. Sighing she quickly lay her head back down on her pillow. She was fighting herself, trying to convince herself she was reaching out to see if Alyssa was by her side. When she knew deep down that she had been searching for the other brunette that consumed her thoughts. Her dream had been the same. Seemingly waiting for Dylan in this remote universe by the ocean. Hearing the waves crashing against the rocks she felt at ease that was until Dylan was no where to be found. It caused her grief to feel let down, but at a loss for how someone could break her completely. It triggered all the underlying emotions she had tried to keep so well hidden for the best part of two years. Sometimes she woke up in a cold sweat or even to find she had been crying. It didn’t matter though as she brushed the darkness of the night out of her mind. And kept herself busied on tasks to forget all about her bruised heart and ego.

Wrapping herself in the quilt like a cocoon to the outside world, closing her eyes to block out the light seeping through the blinds. There was a knock at the door. She waited for it to pass. Surely it couldn’t be important and today being her only day off in three weeks she didn’t even want to interact with anybody let alone see anyone.

The knocking persisted as the brunette tried to fight the fact whoever it was just wasn’t going to go away. Reluctantly dragging her body from the warmth of the king size bed making her way to the front door.
Opening the door she held her hand over her eyes to protect them from the beaming sun, to find her ex standing there like she had seen a ghost.

"Helena, I’ve been calling and calling… I even tried you at the club. I thought something had happened to you. You had me so worried."
Stepping away from the door to create a fortress boundary of space, swallowing hard unsure of how to reply or what to say first.
