Porter Household….

The following morning, Bette enters the kitchen with a relaxed air about her. She’s dressed in comfortable jeans and a fitted Art Is Life t-shirt, which hugs her figure just right and reveals a sliver of toned stomach as she reaches for a mug from the cabinet. Her Bluetooth sits snugly in her ear as she moves about the room, gracefully pouring herself a cup of hot coffee. Letting out a soft yawn, she checks the time on her watch. “Yes, my assistant is overseeing the packaging for your painting as we speak….”

Bette laughs as she takes her first sip of coffee. “……Well, of course. This is the only packaging company that my gallery utilizes; they’re the best. Trust me…. yes, it should be on your doorstep by next week…. yes, I will keep you informed…great, enjoy the rest of your day…”

Bette ends the call and strolls out to the backyard as she dials another number. As she listens to the phone ringing through her Bluetooth, her gaze lingers on her children’s scattered toys and mentally reminds herself to tidy up the yard later. “Hey, James…yeah, listen, do me a favor and make sure we are solid on tracking this painting; I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more nervous buyer in my fucking life…” Bette laughs as she sits down in one of the lounge chairs. “Yeah, I know, just let me know when it’s packed and shipped…. yeah…” Bette smiles and shakes her head. “No, I plan on relaxing today; as a matter of fact, I’m on my patio as we speak, enjoying my coffee and my paper,” Bette laughs. “Awesome, thanks again James…. k…see ya….”

Bette hangs up the phone and stretches her arms above her head, releasing a loud yawn. As she takes another sip of her coffee, she can’t help but smile at the memory of being tangled in Tina’s warm sheets just a few hours ago. With newfound energy, she reaches over to grab the newspaper from the small table next to her and eagerly flips through the pages….
