Everyone was over at Tinas helping her move. It had been a long day and they were all just ready to relax.

Shane: Damn Tina, I never knew you had so much stuff.

Tina: Yeah I know, me either.

Alice: No *****, it was ***** hauling all this ***** out of the house.

    Tina: Was Bette there?

    Alice: Yeah, she was.

Dana: And she didnt even help!

    Alice slapped her arm.

Alice: Dana! She said she refused to help the only person that matters most to her move out. So she sat on the couch with her arms folded and watched us do it all.

Dana: Yeah, she wouldnt even open the door for me. Actually now that I think about itit was kind of cute.

Tina looked down and smiled to herself.

Shane: What are you smiling about?

    Tina: Nothing.

Shane: You love having her eating out of the palm of your hand dont you!

Alice: Shed rather have her eating out something else!

    Dana: Alice!

They all busted out laughing and tackled Alice to the floor.

    Alice: What?!

Bette just sat on the couch in disbelief of how empty the house looked. Not just physically, but emotionally empty. Tinas spirit use to make this house glow, now looking around, it was just a dark room of regret. She managed to pick herself up off the couch to take a shower. She decided to straighten her hair only because she knew Tina liked it that way. The last thing she wanted to do was worry about what to wear; so she quickly threw on a black tank top and some faded blue jeans. She grabbed her leather jacke and was out the door.

Shane: You guys ready to go?

Tina: Yeah, hold on let me just change.

Alice: Oh god, Bettes coming, youll be in there forever!

She glared over her shoulder at Alice before walking to her room.

She also did not want to spend an hour on what to wear. So she changed to her black camisole and favorite old jeans. When she walked out of the room, Shane whistled and Alice smiled in approval.

    Dana: Lets roll!

Milk was packed. There were people everywhere. They had to yell just to talk to each other.

Alice: Do you want to go get a table?

Tina: No, you guys go ahead. Im going to wait here for Bette. Shell never find us in that crowd.

Alice: (nodding) Always thinking about other people Kennard.

Tina: Just get me an apple martini would you?

Alice walked away lost in the crowd. Tina started thinking to herself about what Alice had said. But all of her thoughts were swept away in an instant when she saw Bette walking towards her. She thought she had fell in love with her all over again. She smiled when she saw what she was wearing.

Bette: I guess no matter how far apart we are, we still manage to think a like. Looks like we were meant for each other.

    Tina: (smiling) I guess so.

She turned around and started weaving through the crowd looking for the table. Bette followed close behind. She couldnt help but notice that every person Tina walked by, their eyes would wander all over Tinas body. This made her very uncomfortable. Tina turned around to see if Bette was still following or if she had lost her. She could see the hesitation in Bettes eyes.

    Tina: Whats wrong?

    Bette: Nothing.

Tina: Do you want to leave?

Bette: Of course not, its just

Tina: Hey its okay, just ignore it.

Tina have her a reassuring smile and squeezed her hand not letting go until they got to the table. Alice looked at them and giggled.

Alice: So did you guys call each other before you got dressed?

    Tina: Haha, funny Alice.

Alice: I didnt know what you wanted Bette, but from the looks of it, I should have just ordered you whatever Tina got.

Bette: (rolling her eyes) Ohyoure on a roll Alice. Im going to the bar, does anyone want anything?

Shane: (looking down at the surplus of drinks) Nah, I think were good.

Bette went to the bar and ordered her drink. She turned around and watched Tina talk to everyone. This is who you are Bette, she is your life, your everything. Just then she saw a woman approach Tina. They talked for a few seconds, Tina nodded her head and the woman walked away. Bette again grew uncomfortable. But again she saw another woman come up to Tina, but this time gave her some sort of card with a number on it. What was I thinking coming here? She was about to walk over the table when she saw yet another woman come up to Tina. She couldnt take it anymore. She put her drink down and went to the restroom.

Tina was talking to the woman and glanced over at the bar, but she didnt see Bette. She ran her eyes across the room and saw her walking towards the restroom.

Tina: Uh, excuse me, I have to go.

Tina walked quickly to the restroom.

Bette put her hands on either side of the sink and hung her head down. Youre so stupid for thinking you could get her back!

    Tina: No you’re not.

    Bette: (looking up startled) Tina?
