    Where’s Bette?

    Alice and Shane were sitting in the Kennard-Porter home, watching as Tina ran around the house. Shane glanced at Alice as Tina went into the bathroom. Christian was sleeping and Angie was at a play date and expected back later.

     

    “So you talked to her and she was already to deal with it that day, yet she seems even more stressed out and even more frazzled. And that was what, two months ago?” Shane stated. Alice nodded her head and then craned her neck to see if Tina was coming back.

     

    “I have no idea what happened, but do you know where Bette went, because I think that maybe we should get her involved in this.” Alice asked Shane. The androgynous woman shook her head and the shrugged her shoulders.

     

    “No I have no clue where she is. The only thing she told me was that I was suppose to meet you here and that Tina should get ready to go out for dinner.” Alice looked perplexed at Shane’s statement.

    “Her wife is about to have a nervous breakdown and she what? Wants to take her out for a victory dinner??” Alice hissed as both women heard Tina come back towards them. Shane only offered another shrug at Alice’s sarcastic question. Tina was looking hot, dressed in a black dress that was mid thigh and hugging all the right parts. She looked at both Shane and Alice and raised an eyebrow. Shane suddenly wished she was in some other alternate universe; Tina didn’t look like she was up to any silly games that evening.

     

    “What?” Alice inquired defensively, adjusting her glasses. Tina simply glared at her for a minute before turning her attention on to Shane. Shane raised her hands defensively to the glare.

     

    “Look! We don’t know where Bette is AND we have no idea what she has planned so don’t look at us!” Shane yelped before hopping up and going into the kids’ room. Alice sneered at Shane’s retreating back.

     

    “Wimp” Alice muttered. She looked back up at Tina who continued to have the glare of death pointed at her. “Look! Just because you haven’t experience an orgasm in god knows when, doesn’t mean you can take it out on everyone else. Bette obviously knew you would try to bully us, so she didn’t tell us squat, diddly squat at that!” Alice finished in a huff, happy for once to not have the information. Tina sighed and sat down.
