My One Special One – Chapter 29

“I’ve held you in my heart and memory for so long. Never did I think I would have the chance to tell you again – I love you – I have always loved you, Samantha, with every fiber of my being.”
Ann watched as Sam walked towards the master bath. As the door softly closed, so did Ann’s eyes. She quietly whispered, “Thank you for second chances. There will be no broken hearts on this second journey.” Her eyes opened, she stared in silent reverie, waiting for the one true love of her life to return to her arms.

Bet his head is hurting real good this morning. The fucker. Ignorant son of a bitch. Even a blowjob now and then doesn’t improve his personality. Oh, what the hell, when I feel the need I get the sweet payback…and that other little fucker desk boy has called me ‘fuckface’ for the last time…

The day ended as Tina thought it would – the judge never showed at two and the case was continued until Monday morning. So for the first time in a very long time, Tina was leaving her office at five o’clock.
“Steve, I’m out of here. I’m going to catch a cab and go down to surprise Bette. I’m going to treat my girl to dinner out…an early dinner for a change. I’ll have my cell phone on if there’s any calls.”
“Go on, get out of here. I doubt there’s going to be any calls. Have a great weekend and give that beautiful woman of yours a kiss from me.”
“Okay, see you on Monday.”
On the way out Tina heard her name called and turned around to see Detective Cavalli by the elevator.
“What, you taking half a day?” Cavalli jokingly asked Tina.
“Yeah, I guess to be out of here at 5 is about half a day, isn’t it? Of all things, Charlie Morris was out sick today…”
“What? That guy is never off the bench.”
“Right, that’s the surprise we all had. He’s got to rule on the motion to dismiss and then it’s going to the jury on Monday. So this girl is cutting out early on a Friday just like I’ve always wanted to do. I’m going to catch a cab down to South Street. ”

Hey Rene! Your writing is exquisite and the story is soooo good! I love the many layers and how the “Fates” have brought Bette and Tina together; and now they have given Sam and Ann a second chance. It sounds like they are going to do it right this time around. Love that Ann is going to “heal” the wounds she left on Tina. Once Ann hears about Tina’s problems with John she and Sam will want to help…and hopefully they will be able to. I can’t wait to see what kind of “getaway” trip The Fates have planned for B&T once the trial is over. I love your writing Rene!!! More please!!

After all of the drama of the court case and John’s reappearance it was sweet to have some time for Bette and Tina just to be together enjoying the benefits of their relationship. The flip to Tina’s mum’s world was interesting and will certainly open up several new story threads. But where is the Judge? Has he been gotten to? Wjen will John make his next move? Is Simon everything we hope or a cunning plant? Only your talent and skills will bring this all together. Thank you for the heat and passion, expertly portrayed, between our love birds. Excellent chapter! I’m still trying to figure out whose thoughts were the first paragraph. Maybe it was Simon…
