Chapter 21

Bette has been awake for more than 15 minutes already. She was watching Tina sleep and it amazed her how much happiness Tina brought in her life. For once, she can truly say that she is at peace with herself. She now know what true happiness is. Happiness is right in front of her, naked and beautiful.

“You are intruding my sleep.” Tina muttered.

Bette smiled and gave Tina a soft kiss. “Good morning, sweetest!” She whispered while slowly rubbing Tina’s exposed arm.

“Not yet. I need sleep.” Tina whined.

Bette giggled. “Ok. I’ll help you fall asleep.” Bette began brushing Tina’s hair with her fingers.

“Hmmm… Night, honey!” Tina said.

The whole day was spent at home lounging around. Bette and Tina decided not to tell Shane and Alice just yet that Bette is home. They wanted to spend time with each other. They figured that they’d just surprise the two at the Planet tonight.

Bette was putting the finishing touches of her make-up when she saw Tina’s reflection on the mirror. Tina was wearing a red v-neck sleeveless blouse and form fitting jeans. Her hair was wavy and free flowing. Her light make up completed her perfect look.

“I think I will be hard at work tonight. That look of yours will have people fawning at you.” Bette joked.

“Don’t worry, babe. I only have eyes for you.”

“That’s good to hear. Nonetheless, I’m not leaving your side.”

“Jealous type, aren’t we?” Tina kidded.

“Yes. I am very possessive when it comes to my girl. Does that bother you?” Bette confessed.

“Not really. I kinda understand. I think I would flip if somebody tries something funny with you.”

“You don’t have to worry, baby. I will be a very good girl.”

“You better be.” Tina warned.

Bette chuckled. “Come here and give me a kiss.”

Tina just got a free table when Shane and Alice arrived. Bette has excused herself and went to the bathroom.

“Hey, Tina! I saw Bette Saab outside. Are you trying to score?” Alice winked at Tina.

“What? What do you mean?”

“We all know that car is a babe magnet. Does your girlfriend know about that? Naughty, Tina. Naughty!” Alice joked.

“Oh shut up, Alice. And to answer your question, yes, it was a babe magnet. I got one to ride with me on the way here.” Tina innocently answered.

“What?!? Does Bette know about this? Don’t screw this up, Tina. I know how much you miss Bette but don’t screw this up. Shane, tell her!” Alice yelled.

Shane knew very well that Alice was being played. “I don’t know, Al. I think Tina can explore if she wants to. But do not ever, ever touch. No touching, K?”

“Uhm… we held hands every now and then…” Tina explained. “I can’t help it. I was so drawn to her.”

“Shit! This is bullshit, Tina! Bette will be heartbroken.” Alice was giving Tina her dagger looks.

“It’s not that serious, Al. You know I love Bette. Wait ‘til you get to meet her. She just went to the bathroom.”

“Unfuckingbelievable! You expect me to sit here and play nice with some girl that you are canoodling with behind Bette’s back?!? I am not taking any more of this shit! I’ll be at the bar.”  Alice furiously said while standing up.

Shane was smiling as she has already seen Bette emerge from the bathroom area.

“Oh, Alice. Don’t leave just yet. She’s on her way here.” Tina said.

Alice was staring at Tina with her mouth agape and her hands on her hips.

“Alice, meet my date. Babe, Alice.”

Alice was ready to pounce on Tina’s date. She turned around and saw Bette instead. “Porter!” She yelped and hugged Bette. “You’re here!” She then turned to Tina and said “You are so not funny.”

“Oh, Alice. You of poor faith.” Tina said giggling.

Shane rose from her seat and gave Bette a hug. “Nice to see you, Bette.”

“Nice to see you too, Shane. I missed you guys.” Bette replied after releasing Shane. “What’s up with the introductions?” Bette asked making her way beside Tina.

“Tina was trying to pull Alice’s leg.” Shane explained.

“She pulled it alright.” Alice muttered.

“That’s my girl!” Bette cheered before giving Tina a kiss.

“I most certainly am.”

“Ugh, you two gross me out. Do you really have to make out?” Alice asked.

All three laughed at Alice’s expense.
