Bette looked at the box in her hand and shook her head. She turned it over a few times before finding some chicken scratch on the bottom that appeared to either say kitchen or lychen and she laughed at this thought. Tina came into the living room wiping her forehead with a rag and she looked at Bette and started busting up laughing. Bette Porter aka Ms. I only wear expensive suits was covered in sweat and dirt from head to toe. It was moving day for these two and all morning they had been moving box after box into their new home while movers took care of the larger stuff like the bed and fridge. Tina went over to Bette who had a smug look on her face.

Tina took the box from Bette and went into the kitchen while Bette picked up yet another box of clothes and headed into the bedroom. Where are we going to put all this? she thought as she looked at the pile of clothes on the bed and in front of the closet. Two women, one closethmmmm maybe not the best idea we had Bette shook her head again as she began taking the clothes out and began the task of sorting through it to see whose was whose. When they packed Tina had said that it would be fine if they just threw everything together but now Bette wasnt so sure. She could hear Tina rummaging around in the kitchen with some pots and pans and decided to leave her be. Bette knew the kitchen was the last place she needed to worry about so she went out and grabbed another box while watching Tina take out cookware that Bette couldnt identify.

Holy ***** is that Bette Porter actually doing manual labor?

Bette snapped her head up at the sound of Alices voice. She gave her a smug smile and lifted a box that was obviously way too heavy for her but struggled nonetheless just to show Alice up. Alice laughed and turned to Mimi and Ivy and circled her finger near her ear indicating that she thought Bette was crazy. Tina heard the commotion and came over to greet their friends.

Hey AliceMimiIvy. What are you guys doing here?

Bette raised an eyebrow at Alices comment but didnt say anything. She set the heavy box down and flopped down in a chair next to it. Tina laughed at Bettes demeanor and went over to rub her shoulder gently.

Dont try and lift the heavy ones babethe movers can do that.

Mimi and Ivy sat down on the couch next to the door while Alice walked around taking in the new house. She looked at every possible inch of the living room and kitchen before going through each room and doing the same. She spent a lot of time in the bathroom and master bedroom and just when Bette was going to get up and go get her she came back still looking at everything. It was when she reached the patio that she finally said something.

HOLY ***** LOOK AT THIS PLACE.

Tina and Bette laughed as Mimi and Ivy jumped up to admire the backyard with Alice. The three of them were looking around while Bette and Tina stood in the doorway with their arms around each other enjoying their friends enjoying their new home. Alice was standing near the pool looking back at the house when called out to them.

Hey guys you need to have a housewarming party. Mimi and I can take care of everything, just tell us when.

Ivy laughed at Mimis bantering and Bette rolled her eyes at the pointed comment. She looked at Tina with a smile on her face and Tina just nodded yes.

Tina laughed and turned to Bette with a smile on her face. The other three couldnt see her face but when she winked at Bette she noticed a definite flush in Bettes cheeks. Tina laughed and turned to head back in the house to get some drinks for everyone. The fridge was the first thing they hooked up and as soon as it was cold Tina had made Bette go get some water and sodas and stuff. Tina returned a few minutes later with five bottles of water and soon they were all sitting around enjoying the late afternoon breeze and listening to Alices crazy ideas as to what they could do with the house. The movers had left long ago but it was fine since all the major furniture was already in the house and Tina and Bette just had to get everything unpacked. Mimi and Ivy headed out shortly since they had dinner plans but Alice made herself right at home and even went out to pick up dinner for the three of them. As soon as she was gone Tina turned to Bette with a devilish grin. Bette just smiled when Tina went over and snuggled down in her lap.

Bette was silenced as Tina ran her tongue down Bettes neck and across her collarbone. Tina just tasted sweat, which normally she wouldnt have liked, but today it just tasted sweet. Bettes hands moved lightly over Tinas body before finding a home at her hips and Tina turned so that she was straddling Bette. She looked down into Bettes eyes and smiled before leaning in for a kiss. Bette moaned softly into the kiss and ran her hands up Tinas back under her shirt and was just about to undo her bra when there was a loud knock at the door.

HEY YOU TWO OPEN UP AND YOU BETTER NOT BE HAVING ***** IN THERE!!!

Tina giggled as Bette sighed loudly before getting up to let Alice in with dinner. She gave Alice a look as Alice set the food down on the counter. Tina joined them in the kitchen and soon the three of them were devouring the food and enjoying some more lighthearted conversation before Alice finally took the hint and left the two lovers to their home. Bette made sure to lock the door behind Alice before turning back to Tina with a smile on her face. Tina yawned at Bette before smiling back and Bette just shook her head. It had been quite a day for them and they had been moving since dawn and Bette was pretty sure tonight was not the night to bless the sheets. She took Tinas hand and led her to the bedroom and to the bed. The had managed to put sheets on the bed and Tina helped Bette throw all the clothes that was on the bed over to the chair and the floor and she just shook her head at the mess that still needed to be cleaned up.

Baby why dont you go shower? I can start hanging some clothes up til youre done.

Tina dug through a few boxes before she found a towel for herself and Bette and after digging through another three boxes she found her shampoo and stuff so she headed off to shower leaving Bette amongst a pile of clothes and boxes. This is going to take forever, thought Bette as she picked up a few sweaters and started putting them on hangers. About twenty minutes later Tina reemerged smelling all clean and fresh and found Bette passed out on the foot of the bed.

Bette sat up at the sound of Tinas voice and laughed when she realized where she was. Gonna have to get used to this I guess, she thought as she took the other towel and headed to the shower. She returned about fifteen minutes later and found Tina sitting in bed reading a book. Bette finished toweling off her hair before turning off the light and snuggling up to Tina. Tina stroked her wet hair and smiled at Bette.

Bette snuggled deeper into Tinas chest and sighed with contentment. They had been through so many ups and downs over the years and now she was actually living with the woman of her dreams. Bette couldnt have asked for a better person to share her life with and she felt so lucky that at any moment she expected to wake up and find that it was all a dream. Tina noticed Bettes quietness tonight but she didnt question her on it. For Tina, it was all happening so fast, but she loved every moment of it. She loved being with Bette and having Bette in her life and she knew that as strange as it was, Bette was the person she was meant to find. The person she was meant to be with. Bette was her other half, her soul mate, and Tina didnt even believe in soul mates. Both women lay there for some time before falling asleep both lost in their own thoughts but both happy with the situation. In the morning Tina opened her eyes to see Bettes smiling face and Tina felt her heart melt knowing that she was going to be able to see this sight every morning.
