New York Here We Come (Chapter 2)

Tina perked up a little “I think that is a great idea.”

“Ok Angie can you go put your shoes on for me and we’ll go.”

Angie ran out of the room and Bette used this time to give Tina a proper good morning kiss.

They separated after a sweet kiss.

    “Last night was amazing B!”

“It was more than amazing. Everyday I feel like I couldn’t love you anymore than I do and then after nights like that I do love you more!”

“I know what you mean. wow- this is a big day for us.”

“I know T- you stay and relax while Angie and I go get breakfast ok. No panicking- just relax.”

    “Ok”

    “Promise?”

“Yes I promise I won’t even get out of bed, but I might put some clothes on so our daughter isn’t traumatized.”

    “That’s a good idea.”

I jumped up and threw on a t-shirt and shorts.

Angie and I got back from the planet about 30 min later. Tina had fallen back asleep. We had about 3 hours till we needed to be at the airport. Just a few more things to pack and then we were done. On our way.

I woke Tina up and we had a nice family breakfast outside by the pool. I looked at my family and was so excited to see it grow and mature in nyc.

“Penny for your thoughts?” Tina said she placed her hand on my thigh.

“Just thinking about how excited I am to see our family in nyc.”

“Yea Angie will love Central Park, but she does love the beach.”

“T- there is a thing called the Atlantic ocean- it’s pretty much the same as the pacific.”

“Okay okay. You are right. I need to stop thinking about what we will miss and all the new things we will experience.  Are you freaked out that you don’t have a job?”

“I’m not actually. I know you will be working like crazy so it will be good for Angie to have me around and I can unpack and make you dinner every night and things like that.”

“wow Bette Porter housewife- I never thought I would see the day!”

“Honestly me either, but I realize now I have nothing to prove in my professional life. I have done a lot and I know someday I will work again, but right now I want to focus on you and Angie and our new life.”

“We also have a wedding to plan??”

“I can’t wait to make you my wife T”

“God my either- it’s so funny because we’ve been together for so long and marriage was never important, but now that we are engaged I want to marry you immediately.”

“I know what you mean. We will have to start planning it right away!!”

“Swimming time” Angie broke both of our deep thoughts.

“No baby- remember we are going on the airplane today to our new home!” I tried to sound extra excited to make sure our little girl knows this is an exciting thing!

“Oh yea! I can’t wait for the airplane.”

I was relieved to hear her  say that. I was glad Angie wasn’t old enough to realize we were moving across the country, away from the only place she had ever known. I knew she would thrive in nyc!

“Ok girls let’s clean up and pack up!” Tina was in full mom mode

We finished packing the few things we had left. Kit planned to ship the boxes to us in a few days. Our last few minutes in the house were so rushed we had to remind ourselves to take a final walk around and appreciate it one last time. Tina and I held hands as Angie ran from room to room.

Tina was crying quietly. I knew this was a lot for her, but I also believed her that she would be excited once we arrived in NYC.

We walked outside and around the pool. Tina was looking in the bushes and I couldn’t figure out why.

    “What are you looking at?”

“I’m not sure- do you see something shinny in there?”

I looked harder and did see something. Tina reached in and pull out a cell phone and a note that said Tina’s name on the outside.

It hit me with a thud that it  was Jenny’s phone….

    1. Holy Shit is right! Doesn’t it have the pics of Bette allegedly going down on Kelli? Although it didn’t happen it looks like that from that angle that Jenny used?
