    NEW YORK MINUTE

    CHAPTER 54

    Tina looked up and smiled – Bette was sitting at the dinner table with Angie and they were doing some simple math puzzles. Angie wasn’t that keen or that good at math which was why Bette was patiently taking her through some sums. Tina sighed – really this was only going to be a temporary solution. Bette had spoken to the headmistress two days previous and Louise was still teaching while investigations were being made. Tina was disappointed – it was really not fair that Angie was the one who was suffering from not being at school while Louise was still in her position – probably spreading poison about her long lost sister. Tina shuddered – the thought really chilled her but Bette seemed to be more relaxed about it. Tina went back to the script that she was trying to resurrect. It had taken her longer than usual to really get her head around it but finally she was seeing things that could be changed to make it slightly less of a shoe-in for a “razzie “ the film industry’s awards for the worst movies of the year.

    “This is pooh “ Angie declared throwing her pencil down

    Tina watched to see how Bette would react – the brunette looked at her daughter

    “Yes it is pooh but the older you get the more pooh things that you just have to suck up and do “

    “Why is math important ? Why can I not just use a calculator ?”

    “Suppose I gave you a couple of dollars and told you to go and get some candy right ?”

    “Yeah “ it was clear Angie liked that idea

    “Well you don’t know how to do sums and you buy a candy bar for $1.25. You give the candy shop woman your two dollars. How much would she give you back ?”

    “Eh – I don’t know “

    “Okay – so you give the woman two dollars and she gives you 20 cents back – does that sound right ?”

    “I think so but I don’t know “

    “You don’t know your math so the candy shop woman gives you less back than you should get back. You should have had 75 cents back – now you might have been able to buy something else for that 75 cents but you don’t know your math so you don’t know that you have been cheated of 55 cents. Does that sound fair to you ?”

    5. I love this story so much, a pity that I have to wait for long to get all day long. Love it, really love it!!! oh by the way, I enjoyed in the last chapter the dialogue between Bette and Tina especially when she said that she was sorry about their lack of intimacy these days and she know that Bette has needs. Wow so great!!!! Thanks so far for the update.

    12. Kudo’s to Casey, Jess and Bette. I figured Casey was either spying, or on a mission of some sort to get louise out of that school. Hopefully something can be done to get them out of the northeast period and somewhere that the Kennard-Porter’s won’t be crossing their paths period. Bette should have had a couple guys do the same thing and the crazy bi**h would have gone crazy for sure.Hopefully she will be fired at once and not even be able to get a job at wal-mart. lol Love it.
