    New York Minute

    “Is she okay ?” Bette asked as Tina walked back into the sitting room

    “She wants to see you “

    “She’s been with me all day “ Bette said smiling

    “I know “

    “Do you want me to go and see her ?”

    “Please “

    Bette got up and followed Tina to Angie’s room. Angie was sitting up in bed – she looked really tired but was fighting sleep.

    “What you still doing awake ? “ Bette asked walking in

    “Go away mommy – I want to talk to Bette “

    “Fine “ Tina said “ But Bette is going to tell you to sleep as well “

    “Yes – sleep Angie “

    Tina walked back to the sitting room and walked across to yet again marvel on the view.

    “Yes sweetie “ Bette said sitting on the bed

    “Thank you for taking us to the natural history museum – it was the best day ever “

    “Its fine – I am happy that you enjoyed it “

    “It was the best day “

    “It was fantastic – we all enjoyed ourselves “

    Angie was silent for a few seconds – Bette guessed she wanted to say something else and it was private because she had asked Tina to leave her alone with Bette.

    “My mommy gets sad sometimes and she cries – she doesn’t know that I know “

    Bette didn’t say anything

    “Will you look after her “

    “ Its very early days but we know that we still care very deeply for each other” Bette said wondering if she was saying the right things. Angie nodded

    “Now go to sleep and tomorrow we can go to Central Park “

    Angie lay down and closed her eyes. Bette got up

    “Sleep well sweetie “

    She went back into the living room deep in thought. Tina was standing looking out of the window. She went across and took Tina’s hand. They stood taking in the view for a few minutes

    “She okay ?” Tina asked

    “She wanted to thank me for taking us to the museum – then she said that you get sad sometimes and cry so will I look after you. I didn’t know what to say “

    4. I look for this story every day. I love that the 2 of them are being so open with each other about their feelings and hopes. Thanks for the update and please keep them coming! :)

    5. And I want you back together as well !! I’m surprised though that Bette has not yet found the guts to ask Tina about the man she’s been seeing ( at least, if we are to trust Helena’s words at the beginning of this story ). I mean, I guess she probably feels she has no right to ask her that, but at the same time, I feel like qhe must be dying to know what has actually happened and if Tina got back to men at some point that must say something, right ? Something that these two will need to discuss at one point or another. And somehow I feel like this would be the perfect time for Tina to open up to Bette about that… At any rate, this was a great chapter, Ally, and you got me totally enthralled with this story…. As usual !
