Not Another Word – Bette Porter L Word

I loathe failure. I came all this way to focus. To draw out the truth behind the focus, to sit with a soft mind, a reveal-er of Truth. I sit on a cushion day after day and wait for this appointment I have with the Truth behind the focus beyond the singularity that is deep in my mind but apparently today it is not.

There is a droplet of water at the tip of Tina’s finger. Its reflection is tiny but I can get close enough to see that the room it’s bending slightly out of shape is our living room and we are standing it in and she is angry so angry with me because we only have $4000 dollars left until I have to start selling my investment assets and then my art collection and why the fuck does she think we’re going to lose our home?

Oh God, Tina, just please come back into my arms and let me hold you and promise you, as I have a hundred times already, that I will never let anything happen to us. You are safe, so safe with me. And the drop, well it fucking drops. Enough said. I have to take a walk.

    Lake Path -Silent Retreat

I breathe in and observe the blue toned mountain in the early morning light. Exhale. I see the mountain’s reflection blue in the lake. Breath in. The sky is a brighter blue now than the moment before. Earth, Water, Air, all blue, all profound to me, all endlessness. I tread the lake’s shore in confusion. Exhale. If I am endlessness I won’t make it to the end.

I catch my reflection in the lake as the sun rises over the mountain’s crest. I see a woman haunted. I drop down on my knees and drink from the lake to reach her. Ripples move over my face. I am drowning reaching the bottom where it is dark and I don’t care anymore to breath in or out. In this cold deep there are no mermaids to suckle me with air and milk and memories of bedchambers darkened for sleep and dreams. I splash the cold water on my face and look up as a heron snatches a fish and flies away. Talons pierce me. I ache for her finger tips to claw into me now. In the distance the meditation bell rings. I rise and walk back to nothing.

    1. Another painful moment in the saga of our girls. I think that I’d feel the same way as Bette at that retreat. Uh, oh! Tina’s got a little secret but Bette is very resourceful. I loved the Senator and Bette. What a smoking’ hot couple. That scotch and sucking fingers scene between the two of them was so erotic w/o clothing being discarded. You have a talent for selecting some of the most provocative scenes from the show and making them come to life with a force not achieved on the show. Well played, Ms. Blackbird.

    2. You write emotions so well I can actually feel Bette’s struggle. You are making me love a season that I hate just because I love your writing. I like how you merge the original plots with your own. Can’t wait to read more. Thank you for sharing with us your amazing gift.

    3. It was really beautiful picture, like you wrote Bette’s pain.
Well, Henry here: (I do not came as a surprise, because you told me (but with him and Cadence, it can chase me out of the World) :)
Wow. what a revolution! Tina has another secret. interesting.
I’m wondering what will be her explanation of Bette.
I think Bette will not easily forget this.
      like it,
      please posting soon.

    4. It breaks my heart every time I read something like this…*Insert quivering here*…Good thing you didn’t write
where the cheating begin. Or else you would really break my heart to pieces… *Sobbing*

      But who’s the prisoner?…
