Nothing Really Compares – Chapter Three
Chapter Three
"So, Tina, we seem to have a problem here," Ms Fields said. "You better tell nobody where we are going, once you’ve been set free."
Tina, who was blindfolded and had a tape sealing her mouth, felt a bit of hope sparkle up. So she would be set free! But onder what conditions? And how could she tell anybody where she was going if she couldn’t see anything? So that meant that the blindfold would come of. It relieved her, as much as one can be relieved in such a situation.
"I can’t take it anymore," Bette sighed that night. Shane and Alice were keeping her company, she had accepted the offer of a sleepover this time. She was glad Alice was there with her, but she also felt guilty because Alice couldn’t be at her father’s funeral. Max had made use of his computer over and over again. He had gotten results of Charity Duckman, Tiffany Sevler, Greta Jones, Susan Frindler and some other names Bette had forgotten. The next day, they would go looking for these women. If they were huge, and they resided in an avenue, there was a chance they were holding Tina.
"Everything will be fine," Alice hushed her. Shane was in the kitchen, getting Bette something strong. She came back and gave her the whisky.
"I hope so," Bette said. "I can’t go to work tomorrow, but I can’t make it to be absent for that long."
"Bullshit," Shane replied. "Really, what if you have a serious disease? You can’t go to work then, either."
"But I don’t have a serious disease," Bette said.
"Yes, you have!" Alice said firmly. "A part of you is missing."
The car stopped and the woman who had taken Tina got out. A few seconds later, she heard the door open on her side and she was rudely dragged out of the car.
She still couldn’t think how the hell all of this happened. She had just gone to the corner shop for some milk. She remember a blue van, speeding to the shop. By the time she had reached the shop, the driver of the van had gotten out. It was a huge woman and she was quite intimidating.
"Tina Kennard?" she asked friendly. The voice didn’t seem to fit with the looks of the woman.
"Yes, that’s me," Tina had replied, a bit suspicious. Before she could ask "why?", the woman had grabbed her and throwed her in the van, to speed away. In a dark alley, the woman had blindfolded her and had put a tape on her mouth. Tina had lost all sense of time and place. She had no idea if it were night or day, but she guessed day because it was rather hot outside. She had no idea where she was.

I am just curious y aren’t they contacting the police?
Oh boy, Alice or no one would have stopped me from plowing through that door if my gal was on the other side. I’m with Suejan, where are the cops?
