Dana bit on her thumbnail as she waited for Alice to pick up her phone. She paced back and forth and sighed when she got her voicemail.

“…Hey Alice, it’s Dana. I just wanted to call and tell you that I’m sorry for not telling you the truth. I really need to talk to you about us. Please just give me a call, I’m sorry…Bye.” Dana raked her fingers through her hair and sat her phone on the counter. Lara came down the steps, and Dana looked up.

“Hey,” Dana smiled softly.

“Hey,” Lara walked over to Dana and wrapped her arms around her. “Are you okay?”

Dana nodded. “I’m fine babe. I just got a lot on my mind.”  Lara ran her hand across Dana’s waistline.

“I know a way to get your mind off of things.” Dana moved Lara’s hand.

“I’m really not in the mood.” Lara rolled her eyes and walked away from Dana.

“I’m not good for you anymore.”

Dana turned around. “What?”

“You heard me. I’m not good for you.”  Lara stormed out of the kitchen.

“Lara, I never said anything like that. Why would you think that?” Lara spun around.

“You don’t ever want to be around me. You never want to kiss me or hold me.”

“That’s a lie, I think it’s the other way around! ‘Sorry babe, it’s Armani’.” Dana mocked Lara. “Sound familiar?” Lara scoffed and walked off.

“I’m leaving, I’ll give you a call when I decide to come home.” Lara grabbed her purse and keys. She walked out the house and slammed the door. Dana ran her hand over her face. She walked up the steps, hoping that Alice will call her soon.

            Alice wiped her eyes as she walked to her apartment door. She unlocked the door and walked in. she heard talking and walked into the living room. Shane looked up and smiled.

“Hey,” The brunette on the couch turned around.

“Dana, what are you doing here?” Dana got off the couch and walked towards Alice.

“I got tried of waiting for you to call me. So I decided to stop by and try to catch you at home.” Alice looked at Shane, and Shane nodded.
