At the airport….
Shane, Carmen and Jenny are standing there with Dana and Lara and there was an awkward silence..

Shane: So…the competition… you must be good to get in it.

Lara: (laughs a little) No, um…it’s actually Dana entered me.

Dana: Yeah I thought that your really good at cooking so I thought I’d entered you

Shane: Ooh okay..

Dana: So where’s Bette and Tina?

Shane: Oh Angelica’s sick so they had to take her to the doctor’s, they wish you good luck.

Silence..Lara looks at her watch

Lara: Oh hey nearly time for our flight we should go..

Dana picks up her bags.

Dana: Well I guess this is it.

Everyone hugs them.

Shane, Carmen and Jenny: Good luck..

Dana and Lara walk off Dana looks back at Shane, Shane sees and waves good-bye.

Alice is lying down in bed crying and straing at the ceiling. She’s having flashbacks about last night at the party.

{flashback}

Dana: We’re not together…….I don’t love you anymore..

She suddenly stands up and wipes her tears and reach at the bottom of her bed where she took out a box of pictures she takes one out and looks at it. It was a picture of her and Dana, she puts it back and she took the box and headed to the kitchen and grabbed a lighter. She’s outside and there was a barrel there full of wood, she picked up a can of kerosene and put a little in the barrel, and then she light it up with the lighter until there was a big fire. She looks at the pictures and hesitates but puts the pictures in the barrel to burn. She watched it emotionless until the last of the photos was covered with fire.

Shane, Carmen and Jenny arrives at Shane’s house but stays in the car.

Shane: I think I should go see Alice, you guys wanna come.

Jenny: Um..no I can’t I got this thing I have to work on. Sorry tell her I said Hi.

Shane: Okay then you sure?

Jenny nods. Jenny hops out of the car. Shane drives off

Carmen: Poor Alice, she must be having a really hard time and now that Dana’s gone.

Shane: Yeah I know that’s why I’m checking up on her coz she might do something crazy. I haven’t seen her like this so hurt. She must have loved Dana so much.

Carmen: (looks at her) Promise me that it won’t happen to us.

Shane looks at her and smiles.

Shane: I promise..

They pull over and gets out of her car as they’re walking to the door they see smoke at the back of her house. They look at eachother shocked and runs through the back.

Shane & Carmen: ALICE!! ALICE!!

They see her standing in front of the burning barrel. Shane grabs the bucket of water thats a few metres away and throws the water at the barrel. Alice is still standing there emotionless but tears going down her cheeks.

Carmen: (grabs Alice by the shoulders and turns her to her) Alice are you alright? What were you doing?

Alice just looks at her more tears going down her cheeks. Then Alice just walks off and went inside. Shane walks up to Carmen.

Shane: (worried) What?! What did she say?

Carmen walks after Alice inside.

Carmen: Come on.

They enter and finds the place messy and looked like there has been a hurricane. They looked at it shocked. They enter Alice’s room, they saw her in the corner hugging her knees crying. Shane walks over to her and bends down. Alice looks at her still crying.

Shane: (she clears the hair that was covering her eyes)Alice..are you..are you alright?

Alice: Are they gone?

Shane: Yeah but what were you doing out there, that was dangerous. Look you gotta stop feeling sorry for yourself you have to move on.

Alice stares at her.

Carmen: Hey um I’m playing at this club tonight, it’s really popular. You should come with us.

Alice: ……okay…but now I want to be alone..please..

Shane looks at Carmen and stands up.

Shane: Okay then..

They walk out and the door shuts.

Outside the club…

Alice pulls over and sees heaps of people entering the club, she hopped out of the car and walked over to the entrance. There were lots of people there, dancing, drinking. She sat on one of the chairs at the bar. She looked over at where Shane and Carmen were, they were dancing, they were happy and they were together. She smiled and got herself a drink. After she finished she looked over to her left and saw a beautiful brunette looking at her, the woman was holding up a drink, she saw Alice looking at her, she smiled and waved. Couple of minutes later the brunette stood up and walked over to Alice.

Brunette: Hey, do you wanna dance?

Alice: (looking surprised) Hi…sure..I’m Alice.

Brunette: Hey Alice..I’m Dannielle..(smiled shyly)

Dannielle reached out a hand to Alice. Alice took the hand and let Dannielle lead her to the dancefloor. Carmen and Shane now at the second floor leaning at the railings spotted Alice and Dannielle dancing.

Carmen: Hey Shane look it’s Alice with…someone.

Shane: Oh yeah…it’s good that she’s happy now.

Carmen: Do you think they’re…

Shane: (looking at her to finish her sentence but realised what she was gonna say) What? I dunno, maybe…it’s good though..you know.

Carmen: Yeah your right..she looks happier

At the dancefloor….

Alice and Dannielle are still dancing.

Dannielle: Hey Alice…do you wanna come..at my place..

Alice: (reluctantly) Yeah sure..
