I remember my mind being awake and hearing all the voices around me but could not, even with all my strength, open my eyes or shout out that I was ok. This would not always last though. I guess I was drifting in and out of some form of consciousness unaware of the day or time, thinking that something terrible had happened to me but unsure of what exactly. Sometimes I couldn’t even make out the voices, they became distorted after a couple of minutes and would merge into these reoccurring daydreams or flashbacks I’d have, usually about Dana or the rest of my friends. They weren’t always pleasant.
The first one was from around three months ago, Dana had gone out with Lara a few times by then and was disconnecting from me further after each visit. It almost came as no surprise when she asked me for space and yet I couldn’t halt the disappointment and fear that swept across my features. I was losing her. I think the worst thing was that there was nothing I could do, I felt fucking helpless and that’s so much harder. She was slipping away and I had to stand by and watch, it’s no wonder I became more on edge than I’ve ever been in my life. I too started to retreat inside myself. It was gradual to begin with but for those three weeks I slowly stopped going to The Planet every other morning in fear of seeing her there and encroaching on her ‘space’. I didn’t want to force her hand either way and seeing her without her wanting so would only cause further damage to our disintegrating relationship. All the group caught on and asked what was going on, a question I could give little answer to, I suppose my initial scowling at Lara every time she popped her head around the kitchen door gave some form of a response.

Outstanding, De_leish_ous. Amazingly written. I feel so much for Alice, but, you also make me feel for what Dana went through in this story. I can only imagine Alice laying there having to revisit those difficult memories and not being able to understand what was going on in her real life. I am so glad her friends are there and hope that Bette made Shane understand and alleviate some of her guilt. So is this the worst? Maybe? ;-D BTW: I think the pace you are going is just fine. This is an incredible story and you should tell it the way you want to tell it. I can’t wait to see what happens with Dana seeing Alice again. Thanks so much!!
perfectly written story. i hope alice will be okay. Maybe if ever Alice survive this accident, which I do hope she will, maybe it’s better if she let go of Dana. Maybe then Dana will realize what she have been missing all along..please post soon. I just can’t get enough of this story. Thank you so much.
So emotional. Makes me reflect what happened in season three. But this is so much better, as there’s still hopes for both of them, although they have to go through painful stage first. I think it does not matter how hard things would be as long as they are together in the end. Great update, thanks and please post soon.
