Past Life chapter 2

Tina was still staring at the door of the Planet long after her mystery woman disappeared.  What the ***** was happening? She was trying to get a grip on reality but it she could feel it slipping through her fingers. Her eyes were shut with her head bowed. She was breathing deep to regain control. She didn’t want to loose it completely in the middle of the busy caf.

“Hey, Tee. I just saw the most gorgeous woman I’ve even seen in my lifelegs from here to there”, Alice said excitedly waving her arms up and down in a wild motion then continuing, “gray eyes, great body. She looked like she could body slam Hulk Hogan” Alice stopped talking when she noticed Tina’s slightly gray complexion, “Are you okay? You’re looking a little pale.”

“Yeah, yeahI’m fine I just got a little dizzy. I think I just need to eat something.”

“Okay, sit tight and I’ll be right back.”

As Alice went to the counter when she saw Bette walking in, “BETTE!”

Bette looked over to see who was calling her name. She noticed Alice and walked over, “hey, Alice. What’s up?”

“You might want to cut the visit short this afternoon”, Bette gave a questioning look, “she said she was fine but when I came Tina looked I don’t knowsick. So, say you’re tired and take your woman home.”

Bette turned around to see Tina. She looked as if she were in shock. Bette walked over to her and placed a hand on Tina’s shoulder. Tina jumped at the touch then relaxed when she realized it was Bette, “Hey, babe. You okay?”

“Uh, yeahI’m fine.”

“Okay”, Bette told her but was left unconvinced. She already planned to bid everyone good night as soon as they all arrived.

Alice returned to the table placing a chicken Caesar salad in front of Tina, “eat up.” Tina gave her a weak smile then proceeded to push the lettuce around on the plate but making no attempt to eat. Bette and Alice were watching this when Dana and Shane sat down.

“Hey, guys”, Shane said.

“What’s going on? Did we miss something?” Dana asked watching Alice and Bette watching Tina.

Tina looked up at everyone noticing for the first time that all eye were on her. She tried to look  and sound casual, “hey guys. What’s up?”
