Shane adores spending time with Angelica. They were coloring in Angelica’s bedroom.

“Pretty colors, Angie.” Shane smiles.

The sound of the doorbell makes her realize that her time with Angelica is up.

“I think that is you’re mama, B,” Shane stands up. “lets go answer the door.”

Angelica stands up and holds up her arms waiting for Shane to pick her up. Shane picks up Angelica and they walk out of the bedroom and down the hallway.

The doorbell rings again before Shane has a chance to answer it. She opens the door and Bette is standing on the other side.

Shane smiles. “Hey, Bette,”

Bette smiles tight lipped. “Shane, I’m here to pick up Angie.” She looks at her daughter, comfortable in Shane’s arms and not reaching out for her. “Angie, it’s time to go.”

Angelica shakes her head and wraps her arms around Shane’s neck.

“Come on, baby,” Bette reaches out for Angelica, but she shows no signs of wanting Bette to take her.

“Angie, why don’t you go and get your coloring book and crayons. You can take them to your Mama B’s house.” Shane suggests, patting Angelica’s back.

Angelica shakes her head, hiding her face in Shane’s neck. “Angelica,” Shane puts her down. “Go get your crayons and coloring book, sweetie.”

Angelica walks down the hallway and into her bedroom. Shane takes a step back to let Bette inside and she shuts the door.

“She loves to color,” Shane’s not entirely sure what to say to Bette. The last time they were ‘alone’ together, was when Jenny first got back from her ‘odyssey’.

“I know,” Bette crosses her arms over her chest. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“What?” Shane asks.

“What do you think you’re doing, Shane? We all know how you are,” Bette shakes her head. “and I can’t believe that Tina would get involved with you of all people.”

“Of course not — because Tina’s suppose to wait for you. Right? Until you get Jodi out of your system?” She counters, and doesn’t wait for Bette to reply. “I don’t have to explain myself to you and neither does Tina .”

“You do when it involves my daughter!”

“I love that little girl and wouldn’t do anything to hurt her.”

“When you hurt Tina — which you will do. You’ll also be hurting, Angelica.”

Shane shakes her head. “You really want me to hurt her. Don’t you?” She chuckles.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” Bette says dismissively.

“Oh, just admit it, Bette. You want Tina all vulnerable and you’ll come in and save the day. She’ll fall back into your arms. It’s not going to happen. Tina and I are happy together.”

“Angelica,” Bette calls out. “it’s time to go.” She walks by Shane brushing into her.

Shane chuckles to herself. “Come on, Bette, we use to be friends.” She sighs, irritated that Bette was nowhere near to letting things go.

“That’s right, Shane, key word USE to be friends.” Bette walks down the hallway and into Angelica’s room.

this should get interesting of bette is gonna pick up angie.i like ther eis no pressure on shane’s part towards tina.. shane is so laid back is so accepting and allows tina to be her own person… no smuthering so to speak… :)

You’ve got it spot on! It’s just so easy with Shane and Tina. It’s right. They are having a good time and enjoying each other’s company and falling in love.

Was never a huge T fan, but the more you write, the more the pairing makes sense..can’t wait to see what happens when Bette comes by..esp with how close they are/were

I think it’s great that you’re opening to the pairing between these two characters. I know it’s different from the ‘regular’ pairings we usually see around these parts. It’s nice knowing that people are interested in seeing something different and being accepting and wanting to see more
