Picking up the Pieces Ch. 2

Carmen got out of the shower and walked into her bedroom. She removed her towel and put on her boy shorts and a tank top. She pulled her hair up and got under her covers. She grabbed her laptop and opened it. She put on her headphones and opened her iTunes. She began to listen to music as she looked on the Internet for records.

“Hey babe, did you see my–.” Jesse saw Carmen already in bed in the covers. She smiled and crawled onto the bed. Carmen smiled when Jesse gave her a kiss on the cheek. “What are you doing babe?”

Carmen removed her headphones. “I’m looking for new records.”

“Oh yeah, there was something I needed to tell.”

“What is it? Is everything okay?” Carmen looked at Jesse.

“Everything’s fine. You got a phone call to do an event, and it’s for Shane.” Carmen’s face fell into a frown. “Are you okay?”

Carmen nodded her head. “Yeah, I’m fine. When is it?”

“It’s Sunday night at the Roxy.” Carmen took a deep breath.  “Can you do it?”

Carmen shot her eyes at Jesse. “Of course I can do it. You don’t think I can do it.”

    “I’m not saying that.”

“Then what are you saying? I can’t do it because she’s going to be there. I’m going to do it just that I can show you that I’m not hurting anymore.”

“Carmen babe, calm down. I was just asking a question.”

“Well you got your answer.” Carmen huffed and dropped her head. Jesse got off the bed and began to walk out of the room.

“Jesse,” she stopped, and Carmen got off the bed. She walked over to her and grabbed her hand. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to blow up like that.” Jesse looked at her and smiled softly.

“It’s alright,” Carmen kissed her softly and gave her a hug.

Helena was eating her Thai food at the island in the kitchen. She took a drink of her wine and took another bite of food. She wiped her mouth and sat her fork down. She continued to look for a job as she ate her food. Dylan came around the corner and saw Helena. Helena looked up and looked back down at the newspaper.

    1. So Bette went for it I see…How long will it just be physical? Somebody is gonna catch feelings. I am all for her cutting Tina off from venting about Henry…but keep the lines of communication open in case Henry is crazy and the safety of Angelica is in question (Oh and Tina’s safety too) she dosen’t get too much sympathy if she is still with Hellry.

    2. Ok, because you used my name, I’m going to pretend it was me that woke up next to Bette. And, in that case, I don’t care to hear what Tina has to say either… well, if she’s with Henry still she can pretty much go fly a kite, so… yeah.

    3. Oh I love this! Very exciting. I can feel the drama waiting to unfold, lol. Shane and her badass self is awesome to read, lol. I get tired of married and pregnant Shane way too quickly. Besides, part of Shane’s hotness is that you can’t get inside her head and if you manage to, nothing gets out easily lol, she’s got issues layered on; and walls so high no light can reach. Thus, very tempting, to try to do just that. Please keep her that way, I mean, if you wanna go the crazy drama route sure, but please keep it BAD, none o’that mush, if you know what I mean. That said, I don’t condone the lies though, because that makes her selfish AND dishonest. Selfish can be handled, but throw lies into the mix and you’ve got a class A jerk. And that ain’t hot. LOL. Now, Tina calling Bette about Henry driving Tina crazy? LMAO Bette’s timing was oh so perfect. That’s a testament to your skill with words. The story thus far , flows quite nicely. I’d be thrilled to read more. Please post soon.

    4. I hope you have Tina leave Henry and mayber she and Bette can start working things out. I love where are the girls are in your story and can’t wait to read more.

    5. Wow, Shane seems to be having fun! Reminds me of the old Shane–barely out the door from one chick’s room and she’s already looking for a good time elsewhere. Then there’s Carmen. Who does she think she’s fooling? I mean she got completely emotional and defensive as soon as Jesse mentioned Shane. Really, though. As you can tell, I’m a Sharmen fan, and this story’s got me hooked. Keep it up.

    6. Thank you so freaking much for bringing back ‘Shane the Playa’! Damn from one girl to a thresome, that’s just a straight up pimpin’.LOL. Keep up the good work!
