The roar of the crowd that packed the Planet made Tina smile as she watched in awe from the bar, Shane take center stage.
That’s when the familiar guitar riffs filled the heat-filled room. Shane grabbed the mic stand and the drums kicked in. Screams from the table where the rest of the Stouts were gathered erupted as the young drummer belted out the first chorus with conviction.
“Take me down to the Paradise City,
Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty,
Taaake mee hoo-ooome!
Take me down to the Paradise City,
Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty,
Oh won’t you please take me home!”
Tina laughed as Shane kicked her foot in the air and twirled the mic stand around the stage. The crowd was going wild, singing along.
Through the crowd, Alice had spotted Tina. The boisterous Stout made her way over to where the blonde stood admiring Shane’s stage presence and grabbed her arm.
“Hey Tina!! We’re over here, come on!” she screamed over Shane’s bellows and her squealing fanbase.
The other Stouts greeted Tina with hugs when she reached the table. She took the empty seat next to Kit who leaned in towards her.
“I’m so glad you made it, baby girl!”
Tina just smiled, wondering if Bette had told anyone about their falling out.
Carmen and Tayo stood near the front of the stage holding up their burning lighters as Shane brought the song to a close.
Kit jumped back up on stage to retrieve the microphone from a sweaty, heaving Shane.
“Welcome to Paradise City ya’ll! Let’s hear it one more time for Shades McCutcheon!”
Shane took a little bow as the karaoke-goers cheered their approval of her stellar performance.
Kit told the crowd they were going to take a little break and put on some pre-recorded top 40 to satiate them until she went back to work. Shane came back to the table and Tina looked at her with the hugest grin on her face.
“I’m impressed Shane. You are quite the formidable rocker.”
“Isn’t she great?” Carmen gushed, giving her girlfriend a kiss on the cheek.

Hello you!!!! I’m doing fine!!! Back to the west indies again for show with another artist, then back to Europe week after. Bette is afraid and so is Tina. They have to let go to get back to love!!!!!! I miss that story!!!!Thanks for update.
Heeeey, MeLL. You’ve got me doing my happy dance seeing you posting! Always loved the group scenes on the show and yours are even better. Just picturing Shane decked out in Axl Rose fashion made me smile. I’m hoping that if Tina sings that Bette is able to see it thru her laptop. The well-placed cameras worked the first time…She needs a visual reminder of what she’s missing. Thanks for the update. Enjoy the long weekend!

Finally!!! You tell me you will post and then you don’t do it….so if a quid pro quo is needed to get you to post more regularly…… A quid pro quo it is….. Although I feel that it is going to be unfair as you know fine rightly you are way ahead of me, so if you feel like posting even if I don’t ….go right ahead chuckle! ;0) I enjoy this story equally as much now as I did when you first stumbled on the front page. Bette is in her dark place and Tina is feeling guilty as hell

Happy you’re back with another chapter of this great story. Tina needs to listen to what Kit says and heed her warnings concerning Bette. But Bette needs to get the hell out of her head and talk to Tina to let her know what she is feeling and why. Hopefully she will get tired of being by herself and show up just when Tina is singing a very appropriate song telling of her love. Aawww, I thought you would let someone bump jodi off for me. lol Thanks for posting.
