A young man brought out the last of Tina’s luggage and placed it carefully on the sidewalk next to the two women.
"Thank you." Tina smiled at the man, as he turned and walked back into the hotel.
Bette sighed and grabbed onto Tina’s hands, bringing the blonde round to face her.
"Are you sure…you don’t want me to come with you T?" Bette furrowed her brow as she looked into her girlfriend’s eyes.
Tina gently squeezed Bette’s hands. "You know I want you there with me babe…but I just think it’s too soon, it’ll be too much right now."
Bette took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Okay." The brunette softly smiled. "I’m gonna miss you." She said quietly, placing her hands on Tina’s waist and pulling her in for a hug.
After spending the past few days together, Bette suddenly couldn’t bear the thought of being away from her girlfriend, for any amount of time.
Tina wrapped her arms around Bette’s neck and smiled into her shoulder.
"I’ll miss you too." Tina said, closing her eyes as she took in the smell of the brunette’s perfume.
A car pulled up beside them, as a small mexican man walked over from the entrance.
"You’re cab is here Ms Kennard."
Tina brought her head up and smiled at the man.
"Thank you, i’ll just be a minute."
The man nodded and walked over to Tina’s bags, loading them into the waiting car.
Tina sighed and looked back up into Bette’s eyes.
"I better go." The blonde smiled, slightly tilting her head.
Bette leaned in and gently rubbed her nose against Tina’s.
"I love you."
Tina smiled and placed a soft kiss on Bette’s lips.
"I love you too babe." The blonde said quietly, as she pulled Bette into her and wrapped her arms tightly around the brunette’s neck.
After a few seconds they reluctantly released their hold on each-other and walked hand in hand towards the cab.
Bette opened the back door for her girlfriend.
"Call me when you land ok?" Bette said, her eyes reflecting a hint of anxiety.
"Of course." Tina replied, leaning over to capture the brunette’s lips in another tender kiss.
Bette cupped the side of the blonde’s face as she pulled back.

I hope Bette goes to Tina, I got a feeling Tina is going to need her
I do hope Bette goes to Tina. I also think Tee will need her, and I don’t trust her parents one bit, dying or not.
awwh they are missing each other..wow I hope Tina mom didn’t exaggerate on purpose..that would just be way too wrong..

Hmmm…this whole thing still smells fishy to me. I hope Tina is prepared to catch the next plane back to L.A. if necessary. Her father doesn’t sound all that ill but at least she reconnected with her sister. Looking forward to Tina’s reunion with Bette.
Oh Bette, just hop on a plane and be there for your girl, she’s gonna need you. And why do I have a feeling the family is up to no good, well mom & dad anyway! PPS:)

I love this story! I’m glad tina’s sister is trying to accept her… Hopefully the rest of the family will follow suit. bette should go and comfort her!

Hrmm… what’s all this then? Mr K, up and about? Mrs K, making Tina think Daddy was at death’s door? Well, at least Tina came home. Maybe her mother just couldn’t stand the tension and took advantage of the situation… She’s gotten Tina to come so Tina and Mr K could try to mend their relationship. Cos neither of them were likely to make any moves based on their last phone call. Good intentions or not, that would still be pretty manipulative. So hopefully Tina gets to the bottom of it all. Bette should give her girl a ring back, or at least leave a text. I’ve a feeling that Tina’s going to appreciate Bette’s support in the coming days… Great post, Hardy. thanks
Bette needs to hop on a plane and go to Tina. If Tina’s mom exaggerated her dad’s condition, that was just cruel! PPS
Still think the parents are up to no good. If the guy is that il, then where the hell is he? What is Tina’s sister not telling her? I stick with my theory. Bette should call Tina, no matter the time, then get on a plane to Chapel Hill, very quickly. Thanks for posting. PPS
