Chapter Eleven
Alice and Ben walked into the planet and to their surprise or disappointment, Bette and Tina where nowhere to be found. Alice went to claim a table while Ben retrieved the much needed coffee. Moments later they were sitting in silence, Ben was leaned back in his chair disguised by his hat and Alice chose her “I don’t want to talk about it” sunglasses.

Alice: “So where the ***** are they?” she questioned finally breaking the silence.

Ben: “I don’t know” he replied before pulling his cell phone out of his pocket.

He dialed Tina’s number and leaned back.

Tina’s eyes shot open as soon as she heard her phone ringing. Disoriented and groggy, she scurried to the bottom of the bed grabbing the sheet for cover and reached for her phone hidden under numerous articles of clothing. Tina had underestimated her reach and fell off the end of the bed as she pulled the clothes out of the way. This in turn caused Bette to stir.

Tina was now laying on the floor at the bottom of the bed.

Tina: ” Ow, *****. Hello?” she huffed quietly.

Ben: “Hey, Where the ***** are you?”

Tina: “Oh, uh. I was in bed. Where are you?”

Ben: “Im at the planet. So where are you? In bed?”

Tina was silent for a moment. She couldn’t figure out a lie so she changed the subject all together. Eventhough it was Ben who suggested Bette, Tina was nervous about telling him the truth.

Tina: “So i’ll meet you there then.”

Ben: “You didn’t answer my question”

Tina: “Yeah so I will see you in a little bit” she said before hanging up.

Tina set down the phone and took a deep breath.

Bette: “I don’t believe the floor could be more comfortable then the bed” she said sitting up.

Tina, startled by Bette’s awakeness, sat straight up. Any worries circulating Tina’s mind disappeared at that moment, when she saw Bette in the morning light. “God she’s just as beautiful in the morning.” she thought as she felt her heart rate quicken. Tina smiled as she crawled back onto the bed.
