    “Give me one minute” Bette said to Shelly as she made her way back to her office.  She had been in back to back appointments for most of the day and a call that she had been expecting had just come through.

     

    Sitting at her desk, she reached for her water bottle and moved the mouse to her computer to bring it to life.

     

    Quickly scanning her e-mail for the document that she needed for this phone call, her eyes immediately stopped when they saw the message from Tina.

     

    Knowing that she didn’t have much time, she couldn’t help from opening the message to get an idea of what the content was about.

     

    Sitting there motionless, she read the entire note, no emotion visible on her face.  Taking a deep breath, she quickly typed a brief response and then moved on to what it was that she had been looking for.

     

    “Bette?” she heard Shelly call out.  “You ready?”

     

    Briefly resting her head in her hands, she said, “Sure, send him through.”

     

     

     

     

    Looking at her watch, Tina saw that it was close to 5:30 and she had yet to hear back from Bette.

     

    Sitting in front of her computer, she re-read the note that she had sent her for probably the tenth time and wondered if she had been right in sending it.

     

    It was just at that time that she heard the ping telling her that she had new mail.

     

    Looking at her inbox, there it was, what she had been waiting to see, a response from Bette.

     

    With a shaking hand, she quickly opened the note and read Bette’s response.

     

     

     

    Tina-

     

    Thanks for the note and please excuse this brief response.  I have been between meetings all day and currently have someone on hold waiting to speak to me.

     

    I just wanted to let you know that I did receive your note and if it’s alright with you, will call tonight to discuss over the phone versus my trying to type out a response here.  You and I both know how long that would take me

     

    Please let me know if you’ll be around tonight and if not, when a good time to call you would be.

    9. Thanks for posting this excellent chapter despite the exciting chapter about to unfold in your life. As for the story, Tina is Bette’s kryptonite. Although Tina’s right to say that she knows they won’t get back together immediately, and I intially wanted Bette to really make Tina beg for forgiveness, I’m giving up the ghost. Sunday’s episode took me to new depths. I hope you’ll get to post soon, Skipton. If not, I’ll just reread everything you previously wrote.

I always thought it was so corny when people talked about what a miracle it was, that little screaming infant. But it is a beautiful miracle. Don’t forget your camera like I did! Does leaving the door “just cracked so as not to completely close off the yard that she loved so much” signify her feelings for Tina?     26. Skipton, After everything these gals have been through it is great to see the doorway to communication opening up between them again. The simple pleasure of being comfortable with someone is a major turn on and I hope that Bette will realize this as she starts to spend time with and share her life with Tina again. It is brilliant to see the honesty that now exists in their relationship as Tina plainly states her case and the matter of her emotions and to where she would like this reconnection ending. Thank you for creating this torch to lead me away from the travesty of BnT in Season 3 and to a much more satisfying and appealing place. Will be waiting for your next post as always, Your Loyal Fan.
