    Revisionist History Chapter 4

Can I have a good-bye kiss? I really do have to go. Bette leaned in to Tina.

Tina turned from the mirror and offered Bette a peck on the cheek.

Okay, I guess Ill have to take that as my kiss Bette said sadly.

Sorry, Im not very affectionate when Im angry.

I promise I wont give you any reason to be angry later. I love you, Bette stroked Tinas cheek with the back of her hand as she spoke these words. And I love you too little one. She patted Tinas belly lightly, then left the bathroom to get to work.

Tina muttered to herself, this time sure Bette was out of earshot. That woman can be so ***** frustrating

Tina finished applying her make-up and grabbed her suit jacket off the hanger and left the bathroom. She was excited and nervous all at the same time. She enjoyed the thrill of closing a deal, and had almost forgotten what a rush it was to be involved in something that was worth so much to so many people. It wasnt about money as much as it was about an artistic vision being realized. Of course, that took money, but what doesnt in 21st century business.

She grabbed her keys and locked the front door before climbing into her Volvo sedan and popping a disc into the player for the short commute to the studio. As much as she wanted to open the sun roof, she decided in the interest of not looking like she had been through a hurricane by the time she got there, she should resist. Her confident exterior belied the anxiety she felt because of the fight with Bette. That was part of the thrill of such a meeting: setting all other things aside and focusing on the task at hand. And that is exactly what she was prepared to do.

    ______

Bette was not oblivious to what had transpired between her and Tina that morning. And in retrospect, she admitted to herself that rather than accept and appreciate Tina for the amazing person she was, Bette instead continually tried to mold her into what she thought her wife should be. But Tina had so called her on it this time. And she was so right. Bette was determined to make it up to her, and she vowed to herself she would make Tina feel like she was the most important person in the world to her. And it started today.

    2. “I fucking rule…” Tina said out loud as her hand hit the steering wheel in time with the music. – Don’t you just love that feeling?!!!

    3. I was thinking of it being protecting Bette’s rights, too, which seems like the thing she’d want to do.
Waving a pregnant Tina in front of HP…isn’t that like a red flag to a bull?

    4. 5. Don’t you just hate it when so-called ‘professionals’ reveal too much of their private lives, especially on first meeting?
Warning, warning, Tina Kennard, danger dead ahead!! Helena P. is sending out all sorts of signals with her inappropriate topics and conversation. What does our Tina do? Rather than politely declining her invitation to the madness, Tina engages her in a civil, rational conversation! I like how they met cute, though. And
I love the way you ended this chapter – with elan!
ETALoved the substitution of the 8×10 glossy for red Chanel Tie. Melvin should adore that pic! I imagine it will find its way to the Porter mantlepiece back in Philly! Not! I really want to be in on the conversation when Bette presents it to him – I know you won’t have it off-camera, as so many salient scenes were in you-know-what Word.
      Thanks for bringing the entertainment!
      Cheers!

    6. Ok so I hope bette stands up for tina this time. She should tell her father to shove it, where there is never any sun shine. That is the only way to make tina feel good about where they are going. And god damm it why does Helena have to be in this story. But I wonder if tina is going to give in and play nice and flirt with her?? Keep going I don’t know if I Have commented before or not.?
