    Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive…B&T finally meet Melvin.

    Tina was silent for a fraction of a second while she pondered whether it would be easier to lie and face the consequences later, or to just let her know she had already accepted the offer.

    That sounds like a good idea, she responded.

    That wasnt a lie, she thought to herself. I said that sounded like a good idea. It was a good idea. Why didnt I think of that before accepting the offer. Oh well. Too late now I guess.

    Tee?

    Yes? Tina was brought back from her reverie by Bettes voice.

    I think you should start getting ready

    Oh, yeah, Tina replied. She absent-mindedly stripped off what little she wore and turned on the shower to prepare for the supper with her father-in-law.

    They arrived at Melvins hotel and entered the driveway in front of the lobby.

    There he is, I dont think he saw us, Bette said with a smile on her face. She picked up her cell phone and dialled his number as she pulled over to the curb just beyond the entrance to the hotel.

    Hi Daddy! Were over to your right, I can see where youre standing Bette pulled the phone away from her mouth. Tina, get out and wave at him.

    Tina reluctantly stepped out of the car and waved over to Melvin.

    Do you see Tina Daddy? Shes waving at you, Bette and Melvin both disconnected the call as he made his way over to the car. Bette opened the drivers door and practically skipped to give her father a hug.

    Oh, its so good to see you Melvin says laughing as he hugs Bette He then turns to Tina

    Hello Ms. Kennard, he says as he politely kisses Tina on the cheek.

    Hello Mr. Porter, Tina responds. She then gets into the back seat of the Saab as Melvin climbs into the passenger seat.

    Tina could you just move over a bit, I cant see anything in the rearview mirror, Bette requests without turning back. Tina scoots to the side and they drive off.

    And then daddy, MOCA had the show but I just wouldnt give up. You know what I did? I went to go see Peggy Peabody myself. Bette sat herself at the table, while the host seated Tina beside her.

    2. Yeah Helena is not what any of us expected at all. Great story. Here we go again, Bette’s machismo getting the best of her and Tina’s refusal to confront Bette driving a deeper wedge between the two. Please allow these two to have a all out “scream til tears come, talk til tears come, apologize til tears come, kiss and make up till tears come,” talk fest until these two face their issues and resolve them. Don’t let them go to outside people to clear their heads. Please show that people who love each other can go through periods where they don’t like each other, may not even want to be in the same room with each other, but are committed to staying together and eventually resolving their issues, and moving on.

    4. wOW, was not expecting that at all, great job. So are you planing drama with helena, I can forsee tina needing someone to talk to and helena the one she choses and maybe they hook up??. I hope Bette understands, and doesn’t get all pig headed on tina. well until next chapter, wchich I now waiting for so post soon.

    5. It’s amazing how characters become so much more 3D and real when allowed to ditch their sterotyped qualites for a bit….I love your take on this :-) and yes PrT is ok!

      Now, about your story : I love the way you write it. A little like the show and in the same time so different and somewhere more interesting.
