Tina smiled at Bette as she listened to her talk about her day. It was their fourth date as a couple again and Tina was loving every second she spent with Bette. It was as if she was falling in love with her all over again and Tina knew that in her heart she really was home. They were at the house and Tina had cooked dinner for them. It felt a little strange to her at first just being in the house with Bette, alone, but it was a nice kind of strange. They had just finished dinner and Tina knew exactly what she wanted to do now. She waited for Bette to clear the table while she went into the living room to relax on the sofa. Bette smiled to her as she was taking the dishes to the sink and Tina noticed how Bette never seemed to take her eyes off of her tonight. Bette made her way over to Tina to sit with her on the couch but Tina had other thoughts in mind. She was done waiting and she wanted Bette now. Tina stood up and met Bette half way and took her hand leading her to the bedroom. A look of worry crossed Bettes face and Tina knew she didnt want to rush her. Tina looked into her eyes and saw the desire mixed with love and she let out a small laugh before leaning in to kiss her again. Bette shivered a little at Tinas remark and Tina smiled when she saw this. Tina continued to kiss and softly bite Bettes neck while letting her hands roam under Bettes top. They lay there crying and holding each other for what seemed like forever before falling asleep. Tina woke up and rolled over to see Bette watching her contently. Bette loved to watch Tina sleep and when she thought she may never get the chance to do it again she felt like crying. It was one of the little things that Bette would never take for granted again and she knew that this time around things were going to be different. Tina smiled at her and gave her a soft kiss on the lips before speaking.

Bette smiled at Tina before quickly jumping out of bed. Tina laughed and looked at Bette like she was crazy. Bette returned a few minutes later with two small boxes in her hands. She laid back down next to Tina and handed her one of the boxes.

Tina smiled at Bette as she opened the box. Her face fell a little and she knew what Bette was asking. She felt that things were going well but she didnt want to rush back into anything. She held up her key and looked at Bette questioningly.

Tina smiled and gave Bette a small kiss before lying back down. Im so proud of her, she can handle herself so much better now. Tina felt a warm feeling take over her body and she knew exactly what was in the other box. It was something she had been searching for for a long time and it was something she never wanted to part with again. Bette gave Tina another kiss before handing her the other box. Tina opened it and felt tears form in her eyes as Bette took the ring and slipped it back on Tinas finger.

I love you Tina. And Ill never let you take that off again.

Tina laughed as Bette kissed her hand softly and she looked over at Bette with love and adoration in her eyes. It had been a long journey but she was finally where she wanted to be. Its times like these that make you realize how much you love someone and Tina knew that her love for Bette had never faded. It had only been temporarily overcome by anger and frustration. But that was all gone now and as she fell back asleep in Bettes arms she finally felt complete again.
