    Second Chances
    Ch 1

Dana was sitting on the couch in her condo, staring
dejectedly at her glass of grape

juice. And of course, being an
athlete, she couldn’t even drown her sorrows properly with

    some strong
    alcohol.

It had been so many weeks since Dana freaked out on
Lara and left her standing at the

restaurant, it had been so many weeks
since they had seen eachother, and it had been so

    many weeks since Dana
    could think of anything else.

“Why cant i forget her?” Dana asked herself sitting alone in the darkened living room.

        Becasue you love her
a voice whispered in her head

Dana frowned her brows nitting together trying to
make sense of her thoughts and yet,

afraid of the answer she may get at
    the same time.

“Will I ever forget her?” she asked herself even as the answer no flitted through her head.

“I have to see her” Dana announced aloud to herself.
a few seconds later, as if only just

now realizing what she said, all
her emotions she tried to lock away in that small part of

    her aching
heart came puring out. Telling her mind in no uncertain terms that it
    missed

and longed for it’s counterpart, Lara Perkins.

Not even the ringing of her cell phone was enough to
pull her out of her depression and

    overwhelming loneliness. And sobbing
on the floor wanting to be near Lara with every fiber

    of her being was
how Alice, her best friend, found her.

“Hey,” alice said softly pulling Dana into her arms kneeling on the livingroom floor, “what’s
    wrong honey?”

When Dana just kept sobbing into Alice’s arms, she
refused to give up, knowing that Dana

needed to talk about what was
    bothering her.

“Dane, talk to me, please” Alice entreated softly,
pulling dana’s face up to stare into her

    eyes. “Talk to me” she
    commanded gently but with determination.

One look into her best friends eyes Dana sighed and
knew she would have to spill what

was bothering her. And as much as Al
could be aggravating, nosey, and completely horny

    at times, she was
always a great friend, and Dana trustd her.

“I miss her so much Al,” Dana confided, her voice
cracking with pain and longing., “i miss her so ***** much”

Alice already guessed that one Miss Perkins was the
source of Dana’s trouble and tried

to give her friend all the comfort
she could, while her brain was going a mile a minute

    trying to think of
ways to put the wayward couple back together again.

        This calls for back-up
Alice thought to herself as Dana cried herself out. It’s time to call

the gang…mission Miss Perkins is about to take off.. Alice was already planning the

    gang’s metting at the planet….
